Routine
“What an adventure,” Sarah said aloud, while gazing at the stars. Having no idea what time it is or where on Earth she is exactly is liberating in some ways. A small fire crackles outside of the re-entry pod. The waves lap the shore, pushing on the rocks she had toiled to put into place a few days ago. The rocks spell out “HELP” on the beach.

The Devil King's Child
I chewed slowly before swallowing the abhorrent soul. It was only partially black, but still tasted a lot on the puke side. I took in a deep breath and exhaled. I always thought this would be the fun part, but sometimes the taste made me almost reconsider. Suddenly, as I raised my hand for my people to send in the next one, I felt a weight on my head. I let my hand drop and looked up to see the stubby little ends of baby fingers at the edge of my eyebrows. A smile spread across my face and I shook my head a little. The fingers retracted, gripping my scalp and I heard a soft giggle.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Second Shred' (2019) by DLW, Published Through MHP
DLW never fails to grab me by the balls and drag me kicking and screaming though her writing. I'm never sure if she's intentionally fucking with the audience, or if her writing is just naturally chaotic/evil and reading it causes insanity.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Mist' (2007)
I didn't read the book. Two things. First, I don't give a flying fuck if this wasn't close to the actual book. Sorry, I just don't fucking care. Second, I don't give a good goddamn if the book was better. This movie was fucking awesome! And god DAMN it was brutal. It just keeps kicking you while you're down, and you don't think anything can get any worse, then it pulls out a set of golf clubs and starts whaling on you Mafia style while you're curled up in the fetal position. And the ending, the coup de gras, is a merciless shot to the dick with steel-toed boots.

Is Seattle’s Historic Moore Hotel Haunted?
The date is June 2019, and the event is a family reunion. My sister, Tracy, and I flew into SEA-TAC (Seattle-Tacoma International) to give our dad a heart-attack (just kidding) on father's day. Unbeknownst to him, we had planned a family reunion as a surprise to him. All his children were arriving together from all over the country as a surprise father's day present (more on that later).

A Short Review of 'Gwen' (2019, William McGregor)
I almost missed Gwen entirely. It wasn't until I saw the review by critic Mark Kermode that I became aware of it's existence. As I researched into the film I found consistently that it received a number of very praising write ups. So I decided it would definitely be worth given a try and from what I saw of the trailer, further convinced me of that. Having gone to see it, I can say that it met all expectations. It is a film that has successfully melded both Folklore and Gothicism. Creating a hybrid that one cannot help but become invested and engaged in.
