Poem

to my favorite country

In Ukraine's heart, a tempest rages wild,

A tale of sorrow, bravery, and loss compiled,

Amidst the fields where golden wheat once swayed,

A crimson tide has stained the land betrayed.

The sun now weeps, its light obscured by smoke,

As families mourn, their homes torn asunder in the stroke,

From ancient cities to the humblest homes,

War's icy grasp has claimed what was their own.

A mother's tears, like rain, fall ceaseless down,

Her child's laughter silenced in the battleground,

She clutches tightly to a fading dream,

Of peace and love, though torn apart it seems.

Upon the hills, where wildflowers once bloomed,

Now lay the fallen, heroes entombed,

Their valorous hearts, like stars, forever gleam,

In history's annals, an immortal stream.

Through broken streets, a widow walks alone,

Her husband's memory etched in every stone,

A love once strong, now echoes in the breeze,

Yet she finds strength to mend her shattered knees.

In every whisper of the autumn breeze,

The ghosts of soldiers, lost in war's disease,

Their voices linger in the silent air,

Their sacrifice a burden hard to bear.

Oh, Ukraine, your suffering won't be in vain,

For hope still blooms amid the darkest stain,

In unity, your people stand as one,

The phoenix rising with each setting sun.

The children dream of innocence restored,

A land where peace and love are their reward,

Their laughter weaves a tapestry of grace,

A future built upon a firm embrace.

Yet, shadows linger on this wounded land,

As war's relentless grip seeks to command,

But love and hope, like armor, shall withstand,

And guide Ukraine towards a promised land.

Through tears and pain, resilience will grow,

A nation's strength, like rivers, will still flow,

In unity, they'll mend each shattered seam,

Rekindling hope from fragments of a dream.

Let us, from afar, offer our prayers,

For Ukraine's heart, burdened with despair,

May healing hands and empathy now share,

The weight of war and life's unfair affair.

And may this poem, like a candle's light,

Illuminate the darkness of the fight,

Unite the world in love's relentless might,

For peace, we strive, to make all things right.

Ukraine, dear Ukraine, your heartache we embrace,

Together, we'll rewrite your story's trace,

In love, we'll find the strength to mend and heal,

And sow the seeds of peace so wars will cease to steal.

In the echoes of the battlefield's cruel song,

A nation's spirit rises brave and strong,

Through shattered hopes and dreams that were undone,

Ukraine's resilience shines like the morning sun.

In every scar that marks the wounded land,

A testament to courage, hand in hand,

For from the ruins, hope shall still arise,

Like a phoenix soaring 'neath the azure skies.

Across the borders, hearts reach out to share,

A bond of empathy that proves we care,

In distant lands, the world stands by your side,

As one united force, we'll turn the tide.

Let diplomats wield words to bridge divides,

And peace advocates, fervently confide,

That understanding, empathy, and grace,

Can mend the wounds that war has left in place.

In memory of the fallen, we will strive,

To honor those who fought to stay alive,

Their sacrifice a beacon we'll embrace,

To build a world where wars will find no space.

Though shadows linger from the battles past,

A brighter future comes, approaching fast,

When children dance in meadows free from harm,

And mothers need not fear the war's alarm.

Ukraine, dear Ukraine, our hearts are bound,

Your strength and courage, an eternal sound,

In unity, we'll heal each shattered soul,

And finally, the war's dark bell will toll.
