A Closer Look at Gambling within Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, all forms of gambling, with the exception of betting on horse races, are prohibited. There are no offline casinos in the country and gambling laws date back to the British rule. Let's take a closer look at the history of gambling in Bangladesh.

History of Bangladeshi Gambling
Many Bangladeshis gamble in casinos, although this is not legal, unlike betting on sports. The country is very religious, so it is unlikely that the government will allow gambling to become legal and available both online and offline.
An interesting fact is that sports betting is allowed as it is a sport that cannot exist. Most Islamic countries love horse racing and Bangladesh just decided to make an exception.

Gambling in Bangladesh today
Bangladesh's gambling laws have undergone strong changes in recent years, but all online gambling is still illegal. And you can even go to jail for organizing gambling establishments.
But curiously, the law is milder regarding internet gambling and there are no penalties for online gamblers. This is one of the reasons why online casinos on the internet have increased in popularity in Bangladesh over the past few years. Nowadays, there are many online casinos ready to accept players from Bangladesh. For example the Glory Casino which is gaining popularity. But keep in mind that online gambling is still illegal. Despite this, there are no official reports of Bangladeshis being prosecuted for online gambling.
Gambling responsibly
If you live in Bangladesh and decide to sign up with an overseas online casino that accepts Bangladeshi residents, you need to remember to gamble responsibly. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it strictly. Never spend half a day's money and do not borrow from acquaintances, as it will quickly become a habit.
At the moment, there are no charitable organizations in Bangladesh dealing with gambling addiction. The majority of Bangladeshis are Muslims and gambling is not allowed by Islam. Despite this, there are several private institutions in the country that deal with gamblers' problems. There are also international responsible gambling operators such as GamCare.

Great Foods That You Must Try When You Are in Bangladesh
Paratha
This is Bangladeshi flatbread, and it is made by baking some flour dough and then it is finished off with a bit of shallow frying. It is coated with oil and is then folded repeatedly. It is eating mostly in the morning, so if you are in Bangladesh, the most traditional way to begin your day would be to have paratha, Bhaji (mixed vegetables), and a fried egg. You can wash it all down with some local tea.
Kachchi Biryani
This is a dish that is very popular at weddings, social gatherings, and other types of celebrations. With this dish you will find layers of rice, potatoes, and meat infused with a variety of aromatic spices. The word “Kachchi” in Bangladeshi means raw, which refers to the biryani ingredients being added raw instead of cooking the rice or meat by first. Traditionally, this dish is cooked within a clay oven and the pot is usually sealed using flour dough so that the biryani cooks in its own steam. The pot will only be opened once the biryani is about to be consumed. This dish is usually eaten with Shami Kabab and chutney as a side. This dish is also usually taken with Borhani, which is a traditional Bangladesh yoghurt drink.
Bhuna Khichuri
The name of this dish means mixing, deep frying, or browning spices with lentils and rice. It is a much richer version of the dish that we just spoke about above. Bhuna means braised in Bangladeshi, so this is a dish that is slow cooked to ensure that all the spices and flavours are infused. This dish can be made with different meats such as chicken, goat, or beef. Also, it can have prawns or eggs added to it. It is a popular dish that you will find in any traditional Bangladesh restaurant.
