Why Are Lego Games So Beloved?

Legos new smash hit “The Skywalker Saga” released on April 5th 2022. It is the collection of all 9 films in the Star Wars Universe. The Lego Star Wars games have always been popular but what makes this new entry in the series so different?

Love them or hate them the sequel trilogy movies of Star Wars has created many new fans of the universe. They have been wanting a new Star Wars game for their favorite films and the Skywalker Saga does just that and more.

The Skywalker Saga not only is updated with every movie now but it also got a massive overhaul in the fighting mechanics and basically every other mechanic in the game. For being a Lego game the combos and abilities that this game allows you is so much more expanded and it creates such a fresh unique Lego experience that fans have been wanting for the longest time.

They also include some of the non episode characters from the Star Wars universe like the Mandalorian Dyn Djarin and the worldwide phenomenon loved Grogu.

Another aspect of the games success is the nostalgia that these Lego games have. The first Lego Star Wars came out back in 2005 the same year Episode III Revenge of the Sith came out. As the years have went along the view of Revenge of the Sith has drastic changed. What was once criticized and ridiculed is now beloved in the community. Many even consider Epusode III as the best in the entire saga. The first Lego Star Wars was then followed with other entries into the Lego Star Wars series with The Complete Saga as well.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is considered as one of the best Star Wars games there is. With some even putting it up with the original Star Wars Battlefront II and The Knights of the Old Republic.

Having multiple games out over a span of 17 years the games have gathered fans of all different ages and background all loving the same thing. With a new entry in the series it’s popularity as well as its viewpoint by the fans will only continue to grow as they relieve their childhood memories while making new ones as well.

Lego games allow you to have fun while playing the franchises you love. They have become a staple and a nostalgic past time which many seem to think of fondly. They combine fun levels with great humor and have helped create so many memories and childhoods and that is the reason the game is so beloved. Although they may look like just a kids game on the outside they are a fun game for everyone of all ages. Having grown up with Lego games even as we get older we will continue to play them and make memories with them for as long as they keep coming out. Star Wars fans are loving the new Skywalker Saga and for good reason. The mixture of nostalgia as well as improved game mechanics and added characters and levels it is the deepest Lego game yet.

With all that being said it is clear as to why these Lego games are so loved among so many different ages. No matter how old you get you can look back at the movies and franchises you love and you can remember all the Saturday mornings you spent playing these games with your family and friends.
