What Message Doctor Who can give the world
So many things we can learn from one show

Ah, the world of Doctor Who. An outsider would be completely clueless to what the show is about. It looks like a bunch of weird strange happenings. Which it is. The show itself is weird, sometimes confusing, however heart felt. I couldn't tell you the amount of times that I have cried to this show. However, I wanted to speak about a message at the end of Peter Capaldi's run as the Doctor. We need more of this reminder out in the world, especially with the way the United States is going.
Before I do that, I'll go into who The Doctor is. He is an alien from the planet Gallifrey, has two hearts and has a flying ship that looks like a Blue Police Box (which was a real thing in England in 1891) that is called the T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space). He is known as a Time Lord which is a title granted on the planet Gallifrey. No one other than the Doctor knows the Doctor's true name. He has humans who accompany him as Companions, and they travel through time and space, saving the worlds and Earth on the reg. They meet all sorts of future humans and other space entities. Did I forget to mention that the doctor can regenerate and become a completely new person? The show started back in November 1963 with the first Doctor. Over time we learn more and more about the Doctor and who he is.

As of right now there are fifteen Doctors, starting with William Hartnell to Ncuti Gatwa. However, my favorite Doctor is Peter Capaldi, the twelfth Doctor. I have a bias of him because of seeing him in other movies and shows. However, Peter Capaldi didn't take his first role as the Doctor. His first role in the Doctor Who universe was of a man in the town of Pompeii. He was saved by the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant. Later, David Tennent regenerates into Matt Smith, who then in turns regenerates into Capaldi. This regeneration is suppose to remind tbe Doctor that everyone can be saved. Capaldi's Doctor starts off cold, by the end of his run, becomes a compassionate caring person.
"You wait a moment, Doctor. Let’s get it right. I’ve got a few things to say to you. Basic stuff first. Never be cruel, never be cowardly... Remember – hate is always foolish…and love, is always wise. Always try, to be nice and never fail to be kind." - Peter Capaldi as The Doctor, in an episode called "Twice Upon A Time"
This message hit me hard. I literally sobbed. My sister sobbed (she also wrote an article on this.). We are in a world so full of hate and cruelty at the moment. We need to remember that every single one of us is human, and we make mistakes. We do what we think is best, even though it isn't. Capaldi's Doctor should be known as a wake up call to the world. We are so cruel to one another. We are so hateful towards one another. The Doctor started off just in the same manner. With the help of Clara Oswald (played by Jenna Coleman) and Bill Pots (played by Pearle Mackie) he learns to be kind and that love can win. We need more love in our world.
"The essence of Doctor Who is kindness. That is what really is underneath all of this. This is a person who moves through time and space and history, and all kinds of situations, and reacts to them. Ultimately - despite the way the different versions of him may appear - he reacts with kindness. And that is how everyone involved with Doctor Who should be and how everyone who is a fan of it should be. If they're not kind, they're no receiving the show in the proper way and they're not really a fan," - Peter Capaldi (April 2017)
And honestly, he's right. One hundred percent. I have never met a Doctor Who fan who revolves themselves around hate. Don't get me wrong, they are probably out there. However, if they don't get the message from the show, then they aren't real fans, nor are they human. We can learn so much from The Doctor. We need a Doctor to remind the world that hate won't win. We need a Doctor to remind the world with love and kindness that anything can happen. We need a doctor to save us from ourselves before we destroy each other.

I love how our articles are so different. You took such a good take on an outwardly reflection, while I kind of went inwards. Great article sis!
