Was Willow dressed as the Scarlet Woman at the General Hospital Nurses Ball?
There were subtle similarities to the Gone With the Wind character Scarlett O'Hara.

Scarlet woman or coincidence?
Some General Hospital fans wondered why Willow Corinthos (Katelynn MacMullen) stood alone on the red carpet for a few moments in a crimson dress. I immediately noticed the similarity between Willow and Scarlett O'Hara (Vivian Leigh) from Gone with the Wind. I am certain others did as well.
Was this a coincidence, or did the GH writers intentionally dress Mrs. Corinthos? In GWTW, India Wilkes ( Mary Alice Rhett) is shocked when she sees Ms. O'Hara hugging her brother, Ashley Wikes, ( Leslie Howard) in his office. he mutual hug was innocent, from Ashley's point of view, but Miss Wilkes had an ax to grind.
The Tara scandal
Scarlett's first husband was Charles Hamilton (Rand Brooks), the older brother of Ashley's wife, the former Melanie Hamilton ( Olivia Dehavilland). India was supposed to marry Charles early in the classic film. She never forgave Scarlett for taking him from her, and Charles died in the war.
After Ashley and Scarlett are seen embracing, Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) forces Scarlett to wear a bright red dress to a party. The dress is considered scandalous and paints O'hara/Hamilton as the "Scarlet woman," although no adultery happens.
The Scarlet Letter
When Miss O'hara showed up to the party in that red dress, everyone reacted as if she had been completely naked. Melanie, however, treated her kindly and ignored the gossip.
In Margaret Mitchell's book, Scarlett took her walk of shame in a jade green dress. The film producers of Gone With the Wind were probably giving a nod to Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1850 novel The Scarlett Letter, where Hester Prynne is forced to wear a red letter A in her bosom after being caught in adultery and giving birth to a child.

Willow and Scarlett
Like Scarlett, Willow stood alone for a moment before Drew Cain/Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) reached out to her. In Port Charles, Willow is seen as a scarlet woman because she cheated on Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) with Drew and publicly flaunts the relationship.
Drew and Willow cannot keep their hands off of one another and make out at the hospital as well as the Nurses Ball. Both women received icy stares and whispers, and although Scarlett's hair was not cut like Mrs. Corinthos's, it was worn in a style that made it appear somewhat shorter. Both dresses are bright red, yet not similar except for plunging necklines. Still, the irony is noted.
The return of Michael
Willow is in big trouble now that her husband has returned to Port Charles. No one realized that his condition had improved enough for him to be released from the German clinic. None of his family was aware that he would be home for the Nurses Ball.
On the airplane, Michael watched Willow and Drew kiss on the Red Carpe which probably fueled his fury. When he walked into the Metro Court, he shocked attendees of the gala and GH viewers when he gave his wife an icy stare and walked out with his son Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver).

Drew's exposure is coming
Willow has worn red before so this may be her favorite color but the similarities to Scarlett are there. Michael's cheating wife is so smitten with Drew, she does not realize how her actions look to others. Now they must deal with a custody hearing, which could go in any direction. How will Mrs. Corinthos react when she learns Michael did not turn her away when she flew to Germany to visit him? Drew paid of a nurse to lie.
She will also eventually discover that Drew framed Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and slept with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Will the Port Charles Scarlet Woman repent for her sins, and dump Drew, or continue standing by him? Stay tuned to General Hospital to find out.
