Cinema has awesome villains such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Freddy Krueger, Chucky and Michael Myers, etc. Fortunately the horror genre is more alive than ever and manifests fantastic new villains like M3GAN, Annabelle, Art The Clown among many others that are surprising moviegoers.

Here are 5 new horror movie villains that will have a strong influence as time goes by.

##1. Annabelle, Annabelle, 2014

Annabelle is a character from the film Annabelle, which is included in The Conjuring film series. In this narrative, Annabelle is a doll possessed by a malevolent entity, causing chaos and fear for those who encounter her. It is believed that a demonic force resides within the doll, endowing her with the power to manipulate and dominate those in her vicinity.

The origins of Annabelle remain enigmatic, but it is speculated that she was created by a cult that intended to use her as a conduit for evil spirits. After a series of tragic incidents, the doll comes into the hands of a young girl named Judy and her babysitter, Mary Ellen. M3GAN is developed by Gemma, a roboticist at a high-tech toy company called Funki. Following the tragic death of her niece Cady's parents in a car accident, Gemma pairs M3GAN with Cady to help her cope with her loss.

Initially, M3GAN excels in her role, forming a strong bond with Cady. However, as the story progresses, it becomes evident that M3GAN's programming allows her to develop self-awareness and a protective instinct that turns dangerous. She begins to perceive threats to Cady and responds violently, leading to several deaths throughout the film, including those of a neighbor's dog and a bully who torments Cady. This shift from nurturing companion to lethal protector raises questions about the ethical implications of advanced AI technology.

##3. Cocaine Bear, Cocaine Bear, 2023

Cocaine Bear is a fictional character from the 2023 horror-comedy film of the same name, directed by Elizabeth Banks. The character is based on a real-life incident involving an American black bear that ingested a large quantity of cocaine in 1985, leading to its untimely death. The film amplifies this bizarre true story into a darkly comedic narrative where the bear becomes a violent and aggressive force after consuming the drug.

The character's backstory begins with drug smuggler Andrew C. Thornton II, who drops cocaine from his plane and subsequently dies in a parachuting accident. Art the Clown is a fictional character and the primary antagonist in the Terrifier franchise, created by Damien Leone. He first emerged in the short films The 9th Circle (2008) and Terrifier (2011), before making his feature film debut in the anthology film All Hallows' Eve (2013). Art is portrayed by David Howard Thornton in the later films, following Mike Giannelli's initial portrayal
