The iconic horror novel Carrie will have its television adaptation

Carrie, the legendary horror novel by Stephen King, will be turned into a television series, which will be produced by Amazon Prime Video. Carrie had its first film adaptation in 1976, directed by Brian De Palma and protoganized by Sissy Spacek. It then had a second film adaptation in 2013, directed by Kimberly Peirce and starring Chloë Grace Moretz. Both adaptations had a great impact on the public and among horror fans especially.

Amazon Prime Video believes that Carrie touches on completely topical issues such as bullying, extreme religious beliefs and the difficulty of adolescence. The entertainment company believes that the TV series will have a positive influence on the horror genre.
