The Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer Release Date Confirmed
By Disney

Just under half a year before the release of the MCU film, the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is released. On July 25, 2025, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released, coming after Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*. Starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, along with Julia Garner as Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a brand-new version of Marvel's First Family set in an alternate universe.
The first official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released on Tuesday, February 4th, as confirmed by ABC News' schedule for the week of February 3. A little more than a week before Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters across the globe, the trailer will be released. The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is probably going to reveal the main plot and supporting cast.
What the Release Date of the Trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps Means
Only a few official concept photos, an official logo, an official theme, and the main cast and antagonist confirmation have been made public by Marvel Studios thus far. Since so little else is known about The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the first official trailer may either reveal a number of shocking details or keep the majority of the film's important details a secret until its premiere. The Fantastic Four: First Steps was released much later than the first official trailers for Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and DC Studios' Superman.
Date of the trailer release for our interpretation of The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Whether or not the first official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps reveals important plot points, it will undoubtedly answer some questions, if not all of them. The first trailer may provide answers to the following questions: how does Galactus' anthropomorphic appearance and variable size suit function; how much computer-generated imagery will be used in Ebon Moss-Bachrach's the Thing; and what the final costumes of the titular team will look like. Most importantly, the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is likely to clarify how precisely the Fantastic Four fit into their alternate timeline.
Other queries may be saved for later commercials, trailers, or the film itself. For example, who is voicing HERBIE, who is Paul Walter Hauser's character, and who is Natasha Lyonne's mysterious character in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. When The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25, 2025, it appears more likely that questions about whether any Doctor Doom or other MCU character will make an appearance will be addressed.
First Steps Trailer Release Date Supported by Several Super Bowl Trade Reports
The first trailer for the upcoming 2025 MCU film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, may be almost ready for release. After years of fans anticipating the arrival of the recognizable characters from the Avengers-based franchise, Marvel's First Family is finally making their appearance in the MCU. The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been in post-production for a few months, and there has been much conjecture regarding the release date of the first trailer. The film is scheduled for release in July of this year.
According to recent Variety and Deadline reports, two of Marvel Studios' upcoming 2025 superhero films will be featured at this year's Super Bowl. The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer is reportedly a likely candidate. Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*, Marvel's other two films, may also be shown. Marvel Studios has not yet announced which trailers will be released during the 2025 Super Bowl as of the time this story was published.
What the Trade Says About the Trailer Release for The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Although it's likely that the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released during the Super Bowl, it's important to keep in mind that Variety and Deadline's updated estimates are only conjecture until Marvel Studios verifies their reporting. Marvel may release new trailers for Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* rather than Fantastic Four, since Disney is reportedly only showing two upcoming MCU films. After all, the current slate indicates that these two Marvel films will be released in 2025.
The Super Bowl is a great opportunity for Disney and Marvel Studios to spend money on marketing for the eagerly awaited reboot, even though The Fantastic Four: First Steps won't be released until July. The Phase 5 movie made over $1 billion at the global box office after the first Deadpool & Wolverine trailer was shown during the 2024 Super Bowl. Because of this, it makes sense for Marvel Studios to release a teaser for The Fantastic Four: First Steps at a time when millions of people will be watching.

I enjoyed this. I'm soooo eager for the FF movie. I know so many old comic book fans (like myself) who are so highly critical of the MCU. I'm hopeful. I think perhaps this multiverse will allow them to keep some essential elements of the FF's origin (maybe even setting it in the 1960s during the space race) and then bring the FF into mainstream MCU continuity. One thing I personally am critical of, however.... In the best comics, locations can serve as characters themselves. Avengers Mansion, with Jarvis... nothing that comic location quite like that in the MCU. And even more than that mansion, I'd love to see them make the Baxter Building all it can be. Of course, it doesn't have to be a true character in their first movie, with so much else to accomplish. But where else do you find a manmade portal to the Negative Zone with more cosmic villains? Oh yeah! Their flying separating Fantasi-car would sure be nice too. But we'll see. I'm also to see that first trailer. ⚡💙⚡
