Game Of Thrones Is My New Boyfriend
I was one one of the lucky ones. I didn't start watching Game of Thrones until a few weeks after the final season had aired. After watching the first season, I was hooked. Thank the Gods that I was spared the agony of 8 years of between season anticipation. The way we watch TV has changed, and I never want to go back.

My Heart Belongs In Bluebell
Let me start by saying that I am a middle aged single mom who suffers from anxiety and insomnia, among other things. I have discovered that binge-watching certain shows helps me to calm my mind and get out of my head for a little while. With that being said, my greatest binge-worthy love is a show called Hart of Dixie. I fell totally in love with this show one night while I was trying to find something to numb my troubles. I have always loved medical shows and the ones with romantic storylines are even better. I read the brief bio which stated that Dr. Zoe Hart from NYC moves to a small town named Bluebell in Alabama to further her medical career but discovers love and friendship, sounded like just what I was looking for. After the first episode I was completely hooked. Not only did her life's plan not go her way, but there was constantly obstacles that she had to overcome just to get by.

I Named My Fish Joey Pacey And Dawson
What Is Dawson's Creek? Dawson's Creek is a coming of age teen drama mostly based, as the title states, on one of the main character's (Dawson's) Creek. It follows bestfriends Dawson, Joey, Jen, and Pacey as they maneuver through love, heartbreak, and making it out of their small coastal Massachusetts town. The show begins with the 4 entering into high school and ends with them figuring life out during/after college.

I Plead the 5th
We all abhor that dreadful scroll on Netflix where it seems centuries before a good show is spotted. My wife had the remote this time around. As sure as the clock goes round, was my certainty that she was going to select some soapy, romance-drama. Bah humbug! I'm always revisited by the ghosts of my wife's Netflix past. She scrolled and scrolled...and scrolled and scrolled. Finally, her scroll came to a stop. I saw familiar faces on the displayed cover art of the featured Netflix series. My eyes locked in. To my surprise and secret chagrin, it was -

Carry On My Wayward Son
The year was 2005. The channel was WB at the time. It all started with a simple phrase "Dad went on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days". That is all it took for 3.8 million viewers to get hooked on Supernatural. Fifteen years and just as many seasons later, during the worst year in most peoples lives, we said goodbye to the cast of Supernatural. I am sure I was not alone as I ugly cried listening to the iconic "Carry On My Wayward Son" and watched Baby drive away just one last time.

In A Land of Myth, and A Time Of Magic
When I was younger I was playing on my computer while my mom watched TV. I wasn't really paying the TV much attention. At least I didn't think I was. I guess I was retaining what the characters were saying because the first episode ended with a cliffhanger and I remember asking my mom "Wait what did he want?".

The Crown
The year was 1981, as a matter of fact, it was July 29, 1981 and I saw on TV, which I thought at the time, the most beautiful, stunning young bride I had ever seen. I was only 7 years old, and I asked my mother who those two stunning people are that were walking out of a breath-taking cathedral church, standing on those steps with big shining smiles. My mother said, “that is now Princess Diana, she was Lady Diana Spencer, but she just married the Prince of England, Prince Charles of Wales.”

A Dance with the Devil
“Your return to the Underworld has been requested.” “Oh right, ok, let me just check my calendar. Yep here it is… the 7th of never through to the 15th of ain’t gona happen, how’s that work for you guys?”. This, by the way, delivered in the most perfect British accent out there.
