Major Differences Between the Movie and Book
When Netflix released this movie I, and most of its viewers, was ecstatic. Lucky for me I'd just bought this book trilogy a few weeks prior and had yet to get around to them. As of now the movie is being said to be one of the best teen love stories of this generation, and will probably hold a spot along with movies like Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club.

The New Face of 'Charmed'
So the first four episodes of the new Charmed reboot have aired and I’m ready to start forming some solid opinions. My first thought when I watched the Pilot episode was of how different it was, my second was about all the similarities. And there are many similarities. Three sisters, all with names starting with the same letter (this time 'M’ instead of ‘P’), one is only a half-sister (this time the oldest, not the youngest), discover they’re witches after the death of a matriarch (their mother, not Grams). Even the order of their powers is the same, the oldest has telekinesis, the middle sister can freeze time and the youngest can read minds (not getting into the inconsistencies and lack of continuity of Phoebe’s powers).

'The Running Man' - Review
If you have ever met me in person, you will know that I have an old soul. I really dislike the modern trends of music and celebrities and seem to be stuck in the past in terms of the entertainment I consume. Basically saying that I love everything the 80s. So one fateful trip to my local flea market, The Running Man caught my eye. A cheesy 80s action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who wouldn't want to watch it? While The Running Man did entertain me for the most part, unfortunately, we have a movie that simply came and went without leaving any real emotional impact.

'Romeo & Juliet & Vampires' by William Shakespeare and Claudia Gabel (Book Review)
For fans of the vampire genre, there is one lesser-known novel that should be on your list. Claudia Gabel's Romeo & Juliet & Vampires is just one in a long list of reimagined classics being invaded by the supernatural. From Little Vampire Women to Emma and the Vampires, the supernatural has been becoming more popular as well as bringing back some of the older classics in newer forms for young adults to enjoy.

'Small Craft Warning'
Small Craft Warnings at the 13th Street Repertory is one of Tennessee Williams' least produced plays, or at least one that is not talked about much. After seeing A Lovely Sunday at Creve Coer last month, another of Williams hidden gems, one never tires of this great writer and last night was no different. Set in California by the sea and not the South, his usual modus operandi, it has Williams usual characters, some we see as strong, some weak and some emotionally as well as mentally void. We see all the characters solo at different points of the play. Director Barnaby Edwards does an excellent job of this. He brings forth each and every character during the performance. We find out what is on each and every person's mind. In many of Tennessee Williams' books, we are pretty sure about each character and where each person stands in the pecking order of life. Edwards takes that away, and we know what is going through each drunken mind. We see first hand the fears, the delusions and the hope that each person has and it all works so well. Many of the performers have been with the Regeneration Theater and are both comfortable and fluid in Regenerations works.

'Fast Five' - Review
When re-watching all of the Fast and the Furious movies again, I now understand why this entry is universally the most liked in the franchise. I will always have a soft spot for the first film for starting the franchise and for nostalgic reasons, but all the films leading up to this have been dull and boring despite having exciting car chases and action sequences. With Fast Five, the franchise decided to change course from a movie about a gang of drag racers in Los Angeles to fun heist film. It no longer feels like a film that is taking itself seriously. It now feels like a film that knows what it is and has fun with it.

'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' Is a Flawed, but Entertaining Film That Outperforms Its Predecessor
For a while now, I've wanted to go to an advance screening of the new Wizarding World film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. And a few days ago, I came across this tweet:

Movie Review 'Shirkers'
You have likely never seen a documentary quite like Shirkers. Part mystery part fiction movie, part character study and part in-depth personal examination, Shirkers contains multitudes of filmic fascinations. This Netflix production is ambitious, ingenious and a wonderful work of self-reflective art.

Endicott College Mainstage 'Into the Woods' Is Spectacular!
I had a glorious evening last night. I found myself walking through the woods and meeting a wolf, a witch, and even a giant whose monstrous voice shook the grounds! Once I exited the woods, I found myself at Endicott College watching their fall mainstage production of Into the Woods.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' Review
Very few films have endured such a hellish pre-production as Bohemian Rhapsody. The musical biopic based on the formative, fruitful and fragile years of rock legends, Queen, had been hanging in limbo for a number of years. Ironically, the setbacks the film suffered led to it's eventual completion. Sacha Baron Cohen originally helmed the project as flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury, but left eventually due to creative differences, throwing the production up in the air once again. Which ended up being a blessing in disguise. His actions inadvertently allowed time for future frontman, Rami Malek, to make a name for himself in the hit TV series, Mr Robot. Malek was eventually cast as the lead and the project was fast tracked, with the future looking bright for the biopic.

Movie Review: 'Lucha VaVoom Inside America's Most Outrageous Show'
Lucha VaVoom is a wild and crazy show filled with wild action and wilder women. This strange and wonderful combination of pro wrestling and burlesque is like a wacky milkshake of a carnival crossed with old school Vaudeville. If they allowed animals at Lucha VaVoom, you could travel back to Mexico in the 1920s or perhaps the Moulin Rouge crossed with the WWE.
