My Review of Disney's 'Christopher Robin'
Obviously, I know who Winnie the Pooh is. I know the character, but I haven't ever seen a Winnie the Pooh movie in its entirety. Neither have I ever read any of the Winnie the Pooh books. I do know that this is a live action version of what was once known as a cartoon. I definitely did not have any intentions of watching this movie.

My Review of 'The Road to El Dorado'
I actually forgot about the movie, The Road to El Dorado, a long time ago. After all, it was released nineteen years ago. My girlfriend said she remembered liking it back a long time ago. I remembered it differently. There was a ton of advertisements for this movie when it first came out and it looked interesting back in the day.

Swords and Celluloid
Wolfgang Petersen, like the Ancient Greek tragedians before him, was inspired by the events of The Iliad and elements of the Trojan War cycle in order to create his epic film, rather than doing an adaptation of the work. Euripides used the scene in which Andromache mourns her slain husband when he wrote Trojan Women, an antiwar drama that used the Trojan War as a backdrop to expose his audience to the horrors of the Peloponnesian War, and would later be made into a film during the height of the Vietnam War.

My Review of the Movie 'Eighth Grade'
I actually haven't heard of Eighth Grade until recently. It's an independent movie that's been circulating for a little while but up until recently, it hasn't really been heard of by anyone. So why is it being talked about? Well, recently it's been nominated for a bunch of awards. The director and writer of the film is Bo Burnham. This guy is pretty interesting. Apparently, he started his rise to stardom from YouTube videos. He started getting popular and people started to sign him for different things. I watched one of his early standup comedy specials on Netflix years ago and I thought it was hilarious. Who would have known that this guy was so talented.

'When a Stranger Calls' (2006)—A Movie Review
Horror movies are the exact reason why I don’t want to live in a house with open windows surrounding me. Released in 2006, When a Stranger Calls is a remake of the 1979 epic thriller of the same name. Jill Johnson is called to babysit. Except she is not alone. An anonymous caller keeps contacting her regarding the children she is babysitting. Jill must defend herself in a night of nightmares.

'The Tallest Man in the World'
The Tallest Man in the World at best is very vague. Written by Ailis Ni Riain, an Irish playwright, who is a classical composer as well as a published writer. Her aim is to produce works that challenge, to provoke and engage the audience.

'Captain Marvel' Is an Entertaining Superhero Film Despite Not Being One of Marvel's Best
I promised reviews for Fighting With My Family and Isn't It Romantic, but I don't have much to say about those movies. Fighting With My Family is great and funny and one of my favorites this year and Isn't It Romantic is an okay movie that could have been better.

A Short Review of 'The Favourite' (2018, Yorgos Lanthimos)
I loved The Favourite. No hesitation, I absolutely loved and adored it. Already it has won and been nominated for numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actress, also going onto win seven BAFTAs. Including Best British Film, Best Costume Design, Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Original Screenplay. It is a truly well put together blend of history, comedy, politics, and satire.

My Review of 'Captain Marvel'
Captain Marvel is a mysterious entry into the Marvel movie universe. She's mysterious like a lot of the movies that have recently been coming from Marvel. Prior to the movies I haven't heard of Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Ant-Man and so on. I'm not a huge comic book aficionado so I trust that the movies are doing the comics justice.
