'Never Understand (Out of Control) 이해불능' Review
This webcomic is probably the main one that got me into reading webcomics (most specifically "manhwa's"). If you're only familiar with Japanese BL comics and shows, I'd recommend widening your horizons with webcomics from both Korea and China. Korean webcomics are called "manhwa's" and Chinese comics are called "manhua's" (strikingly creative, I know), and are both written to be read online, unlike manga, and so have very "scroll-able" chapters. They're intended to be read that way, rather than reading separate pages, like a book. Due to this, I personally suggest reading these comics online in formats that support their scroll-ability. Out of Control is written specifically to be posted on Lezhin, a manhwa/manhua site, and there are references to it within, so I recommend you give credit to the authors and read the story there. However, if that really isn't doable for you, the second best place to read this comic is probably Mangakakalot. I personally use this site as a student, and if you end up reading the whole comic on there, I recommend reading the comments at the end of every chapter because they can be quite entertaining. The art styles for these comics are often very manga inspired; however, I think they totally diverge into their own category as the composition is quite original, alongside the art styles and stories, even if there is overlap between the two styles.

My Viewing This Stevening... 'Aladdin' Remake
As with all the Disney remakes, even before the first trailer was released, Disney knew that it would make a hell of a lot of money without making much effort at all, but this idea is certainly no truer than with Aladdin. This was confirmed when the film passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, and now Disney is already predictably working on a live-action adaptation of the sequel; The Return of Jafar. The sequel rumours are interesting, as those familiar with Disney history will know that the surprise success of the direct-to-video sequel to the animated Aladdin spawned a mass array of direct-to-video sequels of nearly all of Disney's properties. This is very much within the Disney mantra of; "People like them, let's make some more of them," but without any consideration of delivery works of actual quality or originality, and that is the problem with the Aladdin remake.

¡Ay, Mi Madre!
Brief synopsis: Maria returns to her village after her mother’s death to settle her affairs and collect her inheritance. Unfortunately, to collect her inheritance, she must fulfi'l several criteria stipulated by her late mother. The criteria are not only very specific, but they are also time-sensitive and difficult for Maria.

'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' (2019) Review
Quentin Tarantino’s rapturous return to the silver screen since its announcement in 2017, to its first screening at Cannes, and Quentin refusing the hypothesis of a journalist, we have finally arrived at what is arguably, for many, the most anticipated movie of the year. It’s a special time for cinema when a Tarantino release isn’t the only competition for topping the list of must sees in 2019, the movies are in a good place. As has become customary with Tarantino's choice of subject matters, his decision to cover the Manson murders caused some worry among fans, in previous films he has chosen to rewrite history, which some have considered to be insensitive. But as always, it was quickly followed and drowned out by the expected excitement of what feels like the prodigal son returning home. As he turns to the Hollywood of the late sixties, a time when the studio system was gasping for air, while the movie brats of the counter culture took control and created some of the most important films ever released. A time of transcendent classics, grindhouse films and dirty movies, all of which get an honorary mention in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Quentin has built a career on intertextual referencing genres, national cinemas and every aspect of pop culture. However he has yet to deep dive into Hollywood as a narrative backdrop, this feels fresh and warmly familiar all at once. With a nod to Sergio Leone in the title, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood follows a failing movie star and his stunt double as they try to recapture fame and fortune in the final days of Hollywood’s Golden age. Isn’t this the fairytale Quentin Tarantino was born to tell?

My Top Five Foreign Films on Netflix
As a self-appointed reviewer of Netflix's filmic output, I have watched and reviewed a lot of the films on the streaming service. I have tended to review films that have either been released this year or in 2018 and maybe a few from a couple of year previous. Not that there are no films before that period that interest me, it is just that, generally, older films have already been extensively reviewed.

More Than a Fairytale: 'Akagami no Shirayukihime' (Season 1) Review
First of all, I want to say that I am not a fan of the manga. I tried reading Sorata Akizuki’s Akagami no Shirayukihime (Snow White with the Red Hair) prior to watching the anime, but I just couldn’t get into it. I was pretty hesitant on watching the anime too, but many critics praised Akagami no Shirayukihime, so I gave it a shot and I wasn’t that disappointed.
