My Review of "Richard Jewell"
Richard Jewell is a movie that doesn't look that interesting on paper. The thing is if you start watching it, you can't turn away. So many terrible unavoidable happen in this movie but you understand why they happen. In fact, the main character drove me nuts in this movie but I was still able to sympathize with him.

'In Time' (2011)
Set in a purposefully vague time in the future, the value of money no longer exists. Instead, TIME is now the currency in which all value is now measured. Quite literally, the only way to live your life, is to pay with your life; or at least portions of it. The film never really goes deeply into the science about how or why the transfer was made from fiat currency to time currency, but the systems of control that unfold are evident in what I consider to be the greatest adaptation of the caste system in modern fiction. When you are born, you have a glowing timer on your left arm, and you are gifted with one full year of time. The timer begins to countdown on the day your turn 25 years old, however, once that timer starts you cease to age another day. The way you look and feel when you are 25 is how you will look and feel for the rest of your life, so long as, you have time remaining on your clock.

Adrift - A Movie Review
No matter the toughest situation, we can never lose hope. Based on true events, Adrift is a 2018 film about a couple who are stranded in the middle of the ocean following a disastrous hurricane. Fighting for survival, they refuse to lose hope as they are adrift out in the ocean.

My Review of "Captain Fantastic"
Captain Fantastic came out back in 2016 and I never really wanted to watch it because I knew people that were very anti-establishment and sometimes they drove me nuts. There's an air of truth to what they preach but I was instantly reminded of their stubborn points of views. Knowing this, I didn't think it would be that interesting of a movie. I was horribly wrong. This movie is pretty amazing and I'll get to why it was.

My Review of "Blood Quantum"
Blood Quantum is a Canadian movie that came out back in 2019. It's a shame that it didn't get too much press because this movie has a lot to say. Much of the nuances of the different messages can only be understood when you realize that the movie comes from an indigenous perspective. The circumstances of the pandemic is also a disguised discussion of colonization of indigenous people and their land.

Chobits- Anime Review
“Do you need a heart to fall in love?” That is the central question to ask yourself when watching Chobits. The show aired in 2002 and is based on 8 volume manga written in 2000. It features the main character, Hideki, moving to the big city and enroll in cram school with the hope of getting into college. During his first week in Tokyo, he finds a Persecom (AI robot) in the trash. Hideki takes her home, boots her up, and their story begins.

My Review of "The Babysitter: Killer Queen"
The Babysitter: Killer Queen is a sequel that I didn't think they'd come out with. The watched the first Babysitter movie back in 2017 when it first came out. I have to admit that I liked that movie because of the wacky comedy. There were few horror elements and felt a little angst-y. Being a teen movie I understood where they were going with that movie. This sequel is that movie dialed to 11. They were even wackier this time to the point of parody.

I am only compelled to compare the two because they provide two different perspectives and though there are some similarities throughout the movie the differences is what makes them both unique to each other.

Altered Carbon: Death is but a Distant Dream (Season 1)
Cyber-punk shows have never been done quite like this, and the justice that Altered Carbon delivers to the Sci-fi and cyber punk genres is nothing far from amazing. Through beautiful cinematography, strong performances, engaging fight sequences, and an emotionally compelling story, Altered Carbon has become a big steppingstone for future works of the like. Hold on tight, for every episode will have you pondering over the meaning of life, the unpredictability of the future, and will induce the occasional existential crisis. Not to worry though, for this is only science fiction (Or is it?).
