Little Kya & Her Lessons
I don't know a soul that wouldn't fall in love with little Kya from the movie, "Where the Crawdads Sing." Long locks of curly brown hair all free and flowing wild encircle an adorable round face with pouty pink lips and dark, soulfully sad eyes. But beyond those eyes, and from deep within, there lies hidden the heart of a tiger. She is a survivor.

My Review of "Jack Reacher (2012)"
Jack Reacher (2012) may be confused with the new Reacher series streaming on Amazon Prime. If you haven't seen that series yet do yourself a favor and check it out. The film and the TV series have a lot of similarities but are ultimately quite different.

Review of 'A Spindle Splintered'
USA Today bestselling author Alix E. Harrow's A Spindle Splintered brings her patented charm to a new version of a classic story. Featuring Arthur Rackham's original illustrations for The Sleeping Beauty, fractured and reimagined. “A vivid, subversive and feminist reimagining of Sleeping Beauty, where implacable destiny is no match for courage, sisterhood, stubbornness and a good working knowledge of fairy tales.” —Katherine Arden “Like Into the Spider-verse for Disney princesses...a gripping narrative that bridges the gaps between fairy tale tropes and the sci-fi multiverse.” — Mike Chen “This whirlwind tour de fairyland jabs at the old happily-ever-afters — and asks whether we might want more than a prince and a palace.” —Kerstin hall It's Zinnia Gray's twenty-first birthday, which is extra-special because it's the last birthday she'll ever have. When she was young, an industrial accident left Zinnia with a rare condition. Not much is known about her illness, just that no-one has lived past twenty-one. Her best friend Charm is intent on making Zinnia's last birthday special with a full sleeping beauty experience, complete with a tower and a spinning wheel. But when Zinnia pricks her finger, something strange and unexpected happens, and she finds herself falling through worlds, with another sleeping beauty, just as desperate to escape her fate.

One Piece: Chapter 2 is a Mixed Bag
It’s been about a month since I released my first review of every individual chapter of the legendary manga One Piece. Since then, I have published a grand total of zero reviews. Whoops. Sorry. It seems as though your old boy really let things slip. But I’m back now and, just like Luffy when he sees an enormous plate of meat, it’s time to really dig in. Chapter 1 was really a one-off. I couldn’t adequately rank it because, as a part of the story, it’s entirely unique. It’s a full narrative in one chapter, and to be perfectly honest, that’s kind of how the first few chapters of One Piece start out. The pacing feels weird because we’re cramming a full arc into one sitting. Nonetheless, I will do my best to critique Chapter 2.

The Korean Odyssey
‘Korean Odyssey’ (Korean: 화유기; RR: Hwayugi) is an utterly splendid confection of classic Chinese literature by way of ‘The Journey to the West’, the best flavors of fan fiction, the struggles of being human. The screenplay was written by the Hong Sisters, managed by Dragon Studio (www.studiodragon.net). I really need to find more of their work. The studio that manages them has a site with many lovely looking stories.

Morbius
Simply tearing this film apart would just not be productive. There was real potential with this film and visually, it is a wonder to see. Jared Leto gave an interview and was asked about the stuff of nightmares, the horrifying hand or Morbius from the cartoons. His response ignored the question and instead he went on about the style of the movie.

My Review of "Quantum of Solace"
Quantum of Solace came out back in 2008 that's a full 2 years after the first movie (Casino Royale) came out. I remember not liking this movie as much as Casino Royale but now I have a bit of a change of heart. There are a few things that I thought they did better in this movie than the last and a few things the other way around.
