Seven Psychopaths (2012)
"You didn't think I was what? Serious? You think I'm not serious just because I carry a white rabbit?" Among film directors, few are true, some only pretend to have this quality, and most are impostors. The first ones graduated from a specialized higher education institution and then continued their development through academic methods, competence, diligent practice, and constant adaptation. Those in the second category are self-taught, fulfilling a calling (they make up for the lack of training with spontaneity, inventiveness, and perseverance...while still following the success formulas of showbiz). The last ones?...just businessmen who have sniffed out the possibility of easily obtaining profits and are on set in search of prey.

John Wick- Chapter 4_ Movie Review
With its marvellous screenplay and clutch of fine performances, John Wick: Chapter 4, directed by Chad Stahelski from a script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, is a fittingly flamboyant and fast-paced finale that packs a massive punch. It's hard to believe that a nearly three-hour movie could be so fun, but John Wick: Chapter 4 is one of the most entertaining films of recent years.

SHAZAM: Fury Of The Gods_Movie Review
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is the sequel to the 2019 superhero movie “Shazam!”. As a studio-produced sequel and a superhero movie made in 2023, it arrives with two strikes against it. One would expect a certain level of creative committee-mandated monotony regardless of how one feels about the first movie. However, the makers of “Shazam!” toned down both the cynicism and sentimentality that have come to define lighthearted superhero movies. “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” meanders further in that direction.

Babylon (2022) Movie Review
Damien Chazelle’s latest film “Babylon” takes us back to the 1920s, during the transition from silent films to talkies, and explores the magic of Hollywood, the tireless pursuit of perfection, and the cost of fame. The film’s protagonist is Manny Torres (Diego Calva), a Mexican American who is trying to get an elephant to an insane Hollywood party. Chazelle uses the debaucherous party scene to introduce us to the ensemble cast, which includes Nellie LaRoy (Margot Robbie), an aspiring actress whose star is about to rise, Jack Conrad (Brad Pitt), a silent film star about to leave his third wife, and a jazz trumpet player named Sidney (Jovan Adepo), among others.

Boston Strangler (2023) Movie Review
In Matt Ruskin's "Boston Strangler," Keira Knightley delivers a compelling performance as Loretta McLaughlin, a wife and mother who works at the Record-American newspaper. Alongside her partner Jean Cole (played by Carrie Coon), Loretta discovers a connection between recent murders in the area, in which women are strangled with their underwear tied around their necks in a bow. The two women are the first to pursue and broadcast this connection through the paper, aware of the importance of this information for women all around the greater Boston area.

Black Box (2020) Movie Review
Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr.'s captivating directorial debut "Black Box" delves into the significance of memory and one man's struggle to connect with his past. The film centers around Nolan, a photographer who lost his memory due to a car accident that killed his wife, making it difficult for him to bond with his daughter. In their poignant relationship, she helps him by writing reminders about everyday tasks on Post-it notes placed throughout the house. However, when it comes to his wife and their relationship, Nolan is left with numerous questions, which Mamoudou Athie's sensitive performance helps to bring to life. It's a grounded approach to a profound crisis, in which Nolan is desperate to discover what kind of husband he was.
