Set in a near-future world where robot boxing has replaced human boxing as the dominant form of entertainment, the film tells the story of Charlie Kenton (Jackman), a former boxer who now trains robots for underground fights. When Charlie's estranged son, Max (Goyo), shows up unexpectedly, the two of them must team up to train a robot named Atom and compete in the World Robot Boxing championship.
