Queen Biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Doesn't Bite the Dust
After months of being incredibly excited about this film and talking about it to anyone who would listen, I finally got to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Here I intend to give my honest review of it – forgetting what other critics have said and what friends and family have said. This is a review of my own experience with Bohemian Rhapsody.

Movie Review 'Love, Gilda'
I was concerned going to into Love, Gilda that the movie wouldn't have much to tell me about Gilda Radner that I didn't already know. As a devotee of Radner for years and years, I felt I had her down pretty well. I admired her deeply and I have read her biography, It's Always Something, more than once. What could a documentary possibly tell me?

Tyler Perry and the Failed Film Language of a Good Scene in 'Nobody's Fool'
Well, time to do that thing that everyone tells me I am not supposed to do and think about and film language. Even though I am film critic and my job calls upon me to think about movies in a way that most don't, one thing that I am told, when I am not being told how much I "hate movies" is that I think about movies too much.

5 Movies You Should Not Waste Your Time Watching on Netflix
I am sure that many of you get bored at home and look for a movie that you have never seen before to watch on Netflix (I know I do). It is important to choose wisely because some movies on Netflix are just not even worth your time! Movies are typically about an hour and a half long so that's a lot of wasted time that could've been spent on something much more meaningful than a lame film. Here is my list of time wasting movies on Netflix (in no particular order).

The 'Planet of the Apes' Movies
I've been a long time fan of the Planet of the Apes television series and movies. I looked at each of these movies with a critical, inquisitive eye. I was happy to hear about a remake being a fan of the original series. The original series left me with more questions. The original series and movies have a place in my heart. The original series were hard to come by unless you were able to get the Syfy Channel or find something on Youtube. The first time I watched the original Planet of the Apes with Charleton Heston, it was amazing! You could tell it was a planet, but everything had changed. The more I watched, the more questions I had. How did this civilization come into play? How did Apes become 'masters' of this world where humans are almost extinct? As I started to watch the other movies, I continued to think about Cornelius and Zira giving birth to Caesar. It all made sense as Caesar continued to fight for himself and the humans living peacefully beside them in an ape village. Humans were a work force for the apes, but they were at least able to speak. Then comes a remake of Planet of the Apes. To be honest, I wasn't really a fan of this movie because, while it did have the apes, I personally didn't like the movie all that much. The ending was excellent, but we all had a question of what happened to the human that crash landed? What happened to him? We can only guess what happened to him. People would probably wonder why there wasn't a second Planet of the Apes movie with Mark Wahlberg. It would have had answers to what happened to him. But my guess is the ratings weren't that good for this movie. Then the newest Planet of the Apes movies came out. Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and War for the Planet of the Apes. These movies are more realistic to that of modern day apes and are more believable. Classics remade are sometimes the best way to introduce new, fresh ideas, but there are classics that shouldn't be remade because the people don't know the series. Plus, Andy Serkis is a good actor in these movies. He plays a good Caesar as Roddy McDowall did in the original series.

Most Expensive Superhero Movies Ever Created
New superhero movies come out with such regularity, it's almost impossible to keep up with them all. That's for good reason though—the massive success of the superhero movies and franchises makes them an irresistible genre for producers, writers, actors, and just about everyone else involved in Hollywood.

'Knight and Day'—Review
So over the last few months, I have been on a real Tom Cruise kick. I have rewatched all the Mission Impossible films, Rain Man, War of the Worlds, Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, and now Knight and Day. I remember watching the trailer for this film when it came out and it looked like a fun movie, but for some reason, it just slipped through the cracks until now. However, after watching it, I wasn't too upset that it took me this long to watch it because the one word I can use to describe this movie is "lazy".

'Instant Family' Is an Incredibly Funny Movie with a Great Story. Top Story - October 2018.
For the first time ever, you guys are getting a review of a film that hasn't come out yet. A few days ago, I was able to snag a ticket to an advance screening of the movie, Instant Family, and I decided to go. I walked a mile to the theater, got there extra early so that I could get a good seat, waited in the cold for an hour and a half, and got inside.
