Is 'Fantastic Beasts' Retconning the Harry Potter Franchise?
The newest entry into the Wizarding World franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, has polarized Potterheads all over the world. I've seen many fans of the franchise say they absolutely loved the film and other longtime fans say they were disappointed with the movie.

Junk Food Film: 27 of the Best Movie Tie-Ins of the 70s, 80s and 90s
Movie tie-ins aren’t dead, they’re just not as fun anymore. In past decades, film licensing was sort of like the Wild West. There were less nutritional restrictions and guidelines, so fast food chains and junk food brands could exploit impressionable young kids and their parents to buy gray meet like patties, greasy fries and sugary sodas in exchange for cheap plastic movie themed treasures. No need to worry about childhood obesity, there was always a $100 million box office disappointment that needed promotion every summer. I may sound cynical but to be honest, I kinda miss those days. Sure the last thing I need is a $5.99 heart attack in a paper bag, but for a cool piece of movie merch I’d be inclined to cheat a little. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and look back at some of the best, and worst junk food film tie-ins ever.

And the Best 'Jurassic Park' Movie Is.... Top Story - November 2018.
I'm not the first person to do a list like this and I'm probably not going to be the last but today I re-watched The Lost World: Jurassic Park for the first time in around 15 years and I've now seen all the Jurassic Park movies in 2018 so it felt appropriate to make my own list ranking them from worst to best.

Arthurian Scholar Watches 'Monty Python'
Okay, the title is a bit of a lie. It should really be called “a Monty Pythonand the Holy Grail fan gets a PhD in Arthurian literature” but that seemed a bit too long. Regardless, I am a PhD student studying Arthurian literature and I am a huge fan. Python fans have been told for decades this is a really smart movie, but I wanted to share exactly how it feels, as a fan of the movie, to find out how smart it actually is.

How 'Bonnie & Clyde' Changed Acting
Bonnie & Clyde is a flashpoint in American film history in more ways than one. Arthur Penn’s seminal crime drama ushered in the American New Wave of director-driven cinema in 1967. In a smaller, less notable fashion, however, Bonnie & Clyde marks a change in the way acting was perceived in the 1960’s and going forward. In the performances of Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway and their co-stars Gene Hackman and Estelle Parsons, you have a perfect microcosm of the shift in acting style that was taking place at this time in American cinema.

We Need a Street Fighter Movie Reboot
The Street Fighter franchise has been around since 1987. After 30 years, it’s still as successful as ever, which makes me wonder why Capcom hasn’t made another live action movie. I’ve compiled a list of reasons why they should make a new Street Fighter movie. Hopefully someone up there at Capcom agrees with my list and makes plans on rebooting the Street Fighter movie franchise!

'Sex and the City 3' Big Spoiler
Just before being seated for the first Sex and the City movie, the lights in a Michigan theatre went out. After waiting years to see more adventures with the City girls, would there be another delay? Thankfully, no. Though one would have been welcome when SATC 2 came out. It was with trepid excitement that fans welcomed news of a third movie in the venerable franchise could be happening. Those low hopes were dashed when Kim Cattrall declared that she was done playing her signature character and that there was nothing that would change her mind. And with that SATC 3 went the way of a Community movie. Maybe it'll happen but it won't be the same.
