Mulan's dark side and the international boycott against the Disney film
The new and spectacular Disney film is no longer an animation as was its original story in 1998. At that time, 22 years ago, it was a drawing that caused a sensation and left its fans who wanted more versions of that warrior defender of an empire with a taste. Mulán returned more than two decades later but embodied in Yifei Liu, an actress who leaves no doubt about her talent and skill in the different stages.

Movie Review: Captain Fantastic
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars. Captain Fantastic opens with a scene of father, Ben Cash, and his brood of six exceptional children hunting in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. They are dressed in animal skins, covered in mud for camouflage, and hunting with a bow and arrow.

A Filmmaker's Guide to: “Malcolm X” (1992)
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we are going to explore some of the films that have changed our outlook of the possibilities in cinema in some way, shape or form. These can include, but are not limited to: revolutionary cinematography, narratives that challenge the social structure and the common view, trademark styles of auter cinema, brilliant adaptations of novels and other works, films of philosophical value and films that touch our hearts and souls with their incredible underlying messages and morals. Within each of the films in this chapter there is a certain something that makes them special and a certain something that makes them linger long after we have watched them for the first time. Lasting impressions are difficult to create, but I think that the films we will briefly touch on in this chapter are some of the films we will never ever forget.

'Tenet' Review—A Mind-Bending Spectacle
Today, I took a bus to New Jersey and attended the 3:10 showing of Nolan's newest film at Kerasotes ShowPlace 14. It was my first time at a theater since March when I watched Bloodshot. Yeah, this movie is way better than Bloodshot.

Production Of 'The Batman' Halted Temporarily After Positive COVID-19 Test
A couple weekends ago, DC FanDome, a virtual convention, got people more excited for The Batman film starring Robert Pattinson. The casting of this actor was a questionable choice in the eyes of those who only knew him as Edward Cullen from The Twilight Saga. However, more people were won over. Thanks to a teaser trailer that came out of The Batman panel at DC FanDome, enthusiasm over the film rose. The teaser impressed people despite only 25-30% of the film having been shot by then. It also helps that Matt Reeves talked all about what we could expect in this upcoming film, which is more of a detective story than any previous Batman film. We also know that it would take place a year and a half after Batman’s first appearance and sometime during year two of Batman’s career as a crimefighter.

Movie Review: 'Mulan' Feels Alive and Vital in Live Action Adaptation
Mulan 2020 is a handsome production, an epic of classic Disney imagination. Directed by the outstanding Niki Caro (Whale Rider), the story feels vital and alive and the production design is spectacular. Whether or not you’ve seen and loved the animated Mulan of the 1990’s I can imagine you falling head over heels for this splendid family adventure that empowers not only women but children in general to follow their hearts and engage in imaginative, heroic, adventure.
