A Common Theme in Christmas Movies: Characters Swap Places
Christmas movies and other movies involve a switch or swap of some kind. The concept can vary by twins switching identities to characters swapping places to live to get a new perspective on their lives. This article focuses on four favorite Christmas movies released on Hallmark and Lifetime where people swapped their residence to deal with the holiday someplace else. Three of the movies are predictable, but the fourth one is very different from the others.

Unpopular film opinions
Dark Knight Rises was a letdown If you can't tell by my multiple articles about the DC universe I am a huge fan of DC. I actually did love Batman Begins and Dark Knight, however Dark Knight Rises was a huge let down. First off, the sheer amount of time Batman spends mopping about Rachel and now Talia is unbearable. I genuinely skip those parts of the film. All the crying over his failed relationships reinforces the Bruce Wayne is a crybaby stereotype. And even though this was the last film of the trilogy, I always hate when Hollywood tries to have drastic time jumps in their character's arcs. I also know Bruce had taken a step back after the Dent death and his time crime fighting has taken its toll but come on. I just, I don't like it. It feels to clean cut 3 arc story of beginning, middle, end. Lastly, Joseph Gordon Leavitt's "Robin". I have no problems with JGL's performance. But the immense disservice to Robin, wow. What an amazing way to end your trilogy, by not giving the fans what they want.

A Filmmaker's Guide to: Motifs
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.

10 Biggest Movies of 2020 (So Far) and How Much They Made.
It's been quite the year. 2020 has not been the best year for movie makers or the cinema in general. Because of the pandemic, lockdowns were implemented and one industry that felt the very harsh effects of this lockdown was the movie industry. In Nigeria, cinemas closed all the way back in March and only started reopening in September.

Movie Review: 'Monster Hunter' is Paul W. S Anderson's Best Movie
To say that Monster Hunter is the best movie in the career of director Paul W.S Anderson is undeniably, damning with faint praise. When a resume contains multiple Resident Evil movies, Event Horizon and the original Alien Vs Predator movie, topping your previous work is a relatively low bar to clear. But I have come to praise Monster Hunter and not to bury Paul W.S Anderson. Monster Hunter is truly not terrible.
