Movie Review: 'The Bob's Burgers Movie' is Delightfully Inessential
Loren Bouchard’s animated series, Bob’s Burgers, has been a consistent delight for 11 seasons on Fox. Now, Bouchard has brought the fun to the big screen in Bob’s Burgers The Movie. And while, we must admit, a Bob’s Burgers movie is deeply inessential, that doesn’t stop it from being funny and endearing. Those familiar voices and the quirky characters they bring to life would be hilarious in any context even as a big screen effort isn't necessary.

Leave The Projector On
This year has been a tough one; and while this writer is no stranger to psychological duress, he is also a firm believer in escapism. I have always enjoyed media and entertainment that can take one to another place for even the briefest stretch of time, whether it be through two-hour play, a twenty-four-page comic book or a handful of brief ambient tracks. None of it’s the same but they can all mute the noise between the ears, if only for a while.

My Review of "Top Gun (1986)"
Top Gun (1986) is one of those movies that people say is a classic but they never really explain why. I've seen this movie back in the 80's but I was too young to really understand it. Watching it again in 2022 gave me such a different outlook of this movie from what I remembered.

My Review of "The Lost City"
The Lost City is one of the few bigger movies that started coming out in theatres in 2022. You can tell it was going to be a fun movie because of the actors leading the movie. With Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum you can't really go wrong. This movie proves us correct.

#60yearsofJamesBond: Diamonds are Forever. Top Story - May 2022.
In 1971, James Bond was going through a bit of a crisis. After star Sean Connery decided he wanted to leave after 1967's "You Only Live Twice", producers Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli cast George Lazenby for 1969's "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". However, due to a combination of poor relations and Lazenby's agent believing the franchise to be over, he didn't sign on for another film. This left Saltzman and Broccoli in a bit of a bind: either recast the role, which could present similar problems to those encountered previously, or try to entice Connery back. In the end, studio United Artists decided for them: get Connery back, and money was no object. Connery ended up returning for $1.25 million, a then unheard of sum, and a huge amount of creative control over this film and two back-to-back films of his choice. After a rocky few years, the producers decided they wanted to go back to the formula of "Goldfinger", the movie that had really launched Bond onto the global stage: big action set pieces, extravagant villains, direction from Guy Hamilton and a theme song sung by Shirley Bassey. And, while being a commercial and box office smash back in 1971, it is a film that isn't looked back upon as one of the greats, with an outrageous plot and a lacklustre central performance from Connery. In contrast to "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", which has gone up in appreciation since its release, this is a film that time has not been kind to, and doesn't stand out as one of the greats - even for comedy camp value, which this film provides in spades.

At first I thought West Side Story remake was going to be trash but.....
So I watched the 2021 film remake of West Side Story directed by Academy Award Winner Steven Spielberg. Now at first I wasn't sure about seeing this film but since I heard it was getting positive and critical acclaim for the remake and received including so I thought why not see it. I found the film on HBO max.

Movie Review: 'Top Gun Maverick' is Top Flight Entertainment
I walked into Top Gun Maverick highly skeptical. My experience of the original Top Gun was as an overly polished, jingoistic, cold war era male fantasy. Despite Tom Cruise’s magnetic performance and Anthony Edwards’ terrifically funny performance, I was not a fan of Top Gun. So imagine my surprise when the sequel Top Gun Maverick began getting terrific reviews from critics that I greatly admired. It didn’t completely cure my skepticism but it created a modest optimism.

Jurassic Park: Impact of a Legend.
During one of my weekend visits to my dad’s house when I was around four years old we stopped at Blockbuster Video to rent some movies for the weekend. Of course I rented the movie I was craziest about at that age, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. My dad on the other hand rented a movie I was unfamiliar with called Jurassic Park. So he ended up wanting to watch this movie before I watched mines, which kind of irked my nerves because I didn’t like anyone interfering with my Terminator, but by the end of the first hour I was very interested in what was going on and eventually I was hooked.

Multiverse of Madness: Could Wanda's Attempt At Redemption Have Actually Made Things Worse?
After months of speculation about what her role in the film would be, it is now apparent that the Scarlet Witch is in fact the villain of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as she seeks to steal the universe-jumping powers of America Chavez in order to regain her lost children, brutally eliminating anyone who gets in her way.. However, in a twist hinted at back in the post-credits scene of WandaVision, it was revealed that her mind has been corrupted by the influence of the Darkhold, an ancient book of dark magic created by the Elder God Chthon.
