Despite Being Off Message, 'The Hateful Eight' Still Has Quentin Tarantino On the Path
Poster I went into the Hateful Eight knowing two things about this Civil War Western. It didn’t have the over the top humor of Pulp Fiction and had all - if not - more of the violence. A blood bath minus the laughs, I was skeptical. But since I already had taken it out of the library, I braced myself and decided to have faith in the master.

Grief and 'Big Hero 6,' Baymax Debuts on Disney Plus . Top Story - July 2022.
On June 29th, Disney is bringing back Baymax! The hero of the 2014 animated movie, Big Hero 6, is getting his own 6 episode series and fans are excited to have Baymax back. The voice of Baymax, Scott Adsit is returning as is Ryan Potter as the voice of Baymax's best friend, Hiro. And, Maya Rudolph is reprising her role as Hiro's aunt. There is no indication that the Big Hero 6 mech team will be back, they had their own series which just ended its run last year. With Big Hero 6 returning as a series, I decided to reflect on the 2014 movie which was a surprisingly thoughtful and dramatic kids adventure with some big themes regarding death and grief.

Alexander The Great Movie Review
It is surprising that a historical character as huge as Alexander the Great has only been made into a film a couple of times, although it is true that the last one was about to be accompanied by a kind of competitor, almost in a duel. I am referring to Oliver Stone 's Alexander , the one starring Colin Farrell with Angelina Jolie as Olympia and Val Kilmer as Philip, which when it was released in 2003 did so under the pressure of a very similar project being prepared by Baz Lührman , a very successful director by then (now it seems to have disappeared) thanks to its peculiar version of Romeo and Juliet and, above all, the no less strange Moulin Rouge .

Book vs Movie: A Clockwork Orange
The first time read A Clockwork Orange was quite a few years ago. I'm not sure where my copy is and don't remember which version it is. This time around I had a library ebook, the complete original version of the novel. Until reading the introduction, I hadn't even realized there were different versions. Apparently, the American publisher decided not to include the final chapter when it was first published. This is the version the film was based on. It seems like a minor difference, but it does change the character arc of the protagonist Alex.
