Jeremy Irons Moonlights at the Jacob Burns Film Center
A few years ago, Jeremy Irons appeared at Jacob Burn Film Center. Here's a look back at the evening. Jeremy Irons recently made an Q&A appearance with Jacob Burns Board President Janet Maslin for a screening of the 1982 film, Moonlighting. In scheduling, Irons and Maslin wanted to offer something that people might not have seen before. Conversely, the Academy Award winning actor was only too happy to defer on the obvious choice of Reversal of Fortune. It took only one word to dispel whether he’s spent enough time over the years talking about Clause Von Bulow.

What Mrs Harris Going to Paris Teaches Us All
Thank you to Paul Gallico for writing the novel regarding the same in the first place. Set in London in 1957, a widowed cleaner by the name of Mrs Harris is a gentle soul who sometimes gets taken advantage of in life. Then again (spoiler) she has a few lucky wins in the end. When you stick the course, work hard, and never give up on your dreams despite a myriad of obstacles; you might (just might, or actually you will) come out on top at the end of the day. There were times where Mrs Harris wanted to throw in the towel, yet persistence paid. As well as having a little help from her support crew.

Wedding Season
This movie was such a fun watch. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had me laughing almost through the entire movie. Yeah, I know, some reviews say it's just an Indian adaptation of regular Hollywood romcoms but come on guys -It's romcom!! It kind of reminded me of the 'Social season' in Bridgerton. I really loved the laughs, gaffs, parents' schemes and 'blackmail', negotiations and of course the dance sequences and weddings, weddings, weddings. Suraj Sharma and Pallavi Sharda make a great onscreen couple as Ravi and Asha, the main leads. Although this is primarily a rom-com, it does highlight important themes and real-life lessons.

Bay of Blood (1971) film review
Caution this contains spoilers. The horror delight of the week is A Bay of Blood (1971) directed by Mario Bava, also known as Blood Bath, or Carnage, Twitch of the Death Nerve; it stars Claudine Auger, Luigi Pistilli and Claudio Volonte. Far before the release of his own feature films (he would go on to release 24), Mario Bava worked as a screenwriter, cinematographer, and special effects artist for years. Known as the 'Master of Italian Horror', and 'The Master of Macabre', his giallo thrillers, stylishly violent, have had a large impact on the slashers that we acclaim today.
