Avatar The Way of Water
Avatar: The Way of the Water is quickly making a name for itself as one of the top box office hits of the decade, following in the footsteps of its successful predecessor. However, the question remains, is it a good movie? While it may not be the best, it is definitely worth watching on the big screen. The visual effects are nothing short of spectacular and truly set the bar for future films. However, the writing leaves something to be desired. The plot feels rushed and the pacing is disorienting, leaving many viewers frustrated. The lack of character development also undermines the sense of stakes that the film hopes to convey in its final scenes. The film's soundtrack also falls short, failing to enhance the grandeur of the environments it explores. Despite these shortcomings, the film's ability to captivate its audience is undeniable.

Unleashing the Power of the Atom: The Story of J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project
Who is Oppenheimer? You would have come across this name in the recent past. Thanks to Christopher Nolan, who is now making a film about this mastermind scientist. We will get a deep dive into the real history. J. Robert Oppenheimer was a theoretical physicist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He is best known for his role as the scientific director of the Manhattan Project, a top-secret research project during World War II that aimed to develop the first nuclear weapons. Oppenheimer was responsible for overseeing the scientific research and development of the atomic bomb, and his leadership and expertise played a crucial role in the project's success. He is often referred to as the "father of the atomic bomb" for his contributions to this historic achievement.

The attack of the cinematic universes
With movie theatres ruled by a few big franchises, individual, one-off movies get less and less attention. While it is comforting to jump right back into our respective favourite cinematic universes every now and then, sometimes a movie that does not want to be more than just one single story could be refreshing. Here are 10 movies that don’t try to be the next Marvel, but still well worth two hours of your life.

Andor Season 2 Will Usher in Tragedy For Three Major Rebels
The first season of Andor reintroduced audiences to Diego Luna's rebel hero, Cassian Andor, five years before the events of Rogue One. The Disney+ series offers a striking new vision of the Star Wars galaxy, one that is far bleaker and far more grounded than we have seen in any other recent Star Wars project. Ultimately, of course, Andor maintains the sense of enduring hope that defines Star Wars' mythology, but the series is not afraid to show the struggle that must be endured to preserve that hope. And in Season 2, that struggle will become fiercer than ever.

The Fableman's
The Fableman’s was one of my most anticipated films of 2022, I think that the Covid lockdown did something to filmmakers and the industry as whole. We were all inside for a year and that caused an outpouring of art from authors and musicians but filmmakers were stuck. So after we were all released and allowed back into the world there was all this pent up creative energy from filmmakers and that gave us a wave of films about art and film and love. That wave gave us movies like Armageddon Time, Babylon and yes, The Fableman’s.
