Everyone Has A Key To The World
A massive interest of mine is storytelling, and it is, in my not so humble opinion, one of the finest traits mankind has weaves into it’s system. We have went out of our way to create entertainment and stories that may never happen, because we enjoy it, because it empowers us, because we can grasp some idea of truth and the path forward with our own lives. So as an amateur writer myself, I hope to pass on a footnote of insight I’ve realized about writing. This one line:

10 Underwhelming And Insufferable Books To Avoid
If you want to read my other list of books that suck, you can: here. Also, if I attacked one of your beloved, most cherished books, just know that you are not alone—others have similarly witnessed their favourite books publicly shamed and ripped to shreds (except for a couple of incidents, maybe) by me. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say in the comments! Happy reading!

The Maidens: Review
I should start by saying, I have a lot to say about this book. I should also say that this is the first book by Alex Michaelides that I have read. Michaelides is known for his debut novel The Silent Patient which was No.1 on the New York Times Best Seller list upon its release in 2019. Since finishing The Maidens I have ordered his debut novel and it arrives tomorrow.

The thread–the poster of which remain unnamed to avoid further harassment of her–started like this:

The only quote about writing I'll ever need. . Top Story - August 2022.
There are a million quotes about writing out there, ranging from the straight-talking, to the completely unfathomable. There's a lot of wisdom in them, there's no doubt about that, but there's a lot of…other stuff in them too.

Last Night at the Telegraph Club
I really, really wanted to love this novel. I ended up just liking it a lot. I still gave it four stars on Goodreads, though. It is such an important novel telling such an important story, and I think anyone with a heart and interest in historical Sapphic novels would love it.
