Mermaids and Morons
Authors Note: As both a Dungeons & Dragons player and an author, I've decided to retell sessions of a recent campaign I've started with my friends. This is not simply a transcription. I have put this in my own voice based on the events that "happened" in the campaign session as I would if I were writing a fantasy novel through traditional mechanisms. I'll put this note at the start of any following episodes in case people are just tuning in.

Love, Sex and Aliens
I miss Michael. There, I said it. Now I’m all alone in the universe and he’s gone and I miss him. I’ve looked from one end of the planet to the other and no-one else comes close, though I can’t think why. There are nine billion humans on this planet, you’d think I’d fancy one of them and have it reciprocated.

Bat Janet
She said her name was Janet which Bat Janet found offensive because Bat Janet thought Janet was the sort of Janet who gave all Janets a bad name (bad name) and lead to all those dumb Janet jokes and memes[1] that were clogging up the internet. Janet's crime against humanity was be in line for twelve minutes - it was at least twelve minutes; she was already in line when Bat Janet walked in the Starbucks - and then, when she finally got to the register, still not know what she wanted. Then after numerous questions, she finally decided on something - "a tall, non-fat latte with caramel drizzle, in a grande cup" - Callie the barista smiled at her and said, "oh, the usual, then?" The usual? You hemmed and hawed for five minutes just to order 'the usual', Janet? Bat Janet was not pleased. Bat Janet was sitting in judgement of Janet, and finding Janet guilty.

Legends: The Abyss
A very long time ago, in a Galaxy far far away before there were Jedi, before there were Sith there was only the force, and the few who could harness and wield its power known only as The Father, The Daughter and The Son. Guardians of the force, and guides for its knowledge. Centuries passed and other beings around the galaxy became aware of the force and started to gain knowledge of how to use it. Those beings started to be known as Force Sensitives throughout the galaxy. While there were only a few per inhabited planet, those who witnessed the power they wielded began to see them as gifts from the force, some even heroes after a special act of selflessness. During this period of time there were no light or dark sides to harness, the force was neutral. Balanced. As time went on those who knew how to use the force became very knowledgeable and started to teach others. More and more beings began to tap into the force, using the gifts bestowed onto them by the galaxy and the cosmos itself.

Marina
As she was going on her nightly run, Marina, miscalculated her step and ate shit. She tumbled for quite a bit until she reoriented her body and sat upright. She was covered in mud. Her nightly run that usually ended with a winner's high was cut short and now she was sure she was sitting in duck poop. “FUCKING HELL! ,” she exclaimed. As she tilted her head up she knew that despite her fall, she was lucky. The light of the full moon had the canal glowing, she could see little black fish glimmering as they swam together in creepy synchrony. There was a light warm breeze that, wavered her hair like a flag. Despite the fall, she was ok. She stood up and started limping towards the dirt path. Don’t cry, she thought, Chef Ramsey would be disappointed. She knew she had been binging his cooking show for so long, that now, Chef Gordon Ramsey was a part of her. A motivating force, you could say.
