Netflix and Chill or Disney+ and !@$%
On November 12th, Disney will launch their exclusive streaming service Disney Plus, firing the first salvo in what will become one of the bloodiest most brutal competitions in the world of media and entertainment. They will begin the great streaming wars. Netflix has evolved from a cute little niche DVD rental service into a tech behemoth completely reshaping the way the world consumes entertainment. With over 151 million subscribers worldwide, Netflix has become a digital buffet trying to cater towards every niche taste imaginable and racking up tremendous amounts of debt to continue to feed their audiences endless appetite for content, with some estimating the amount of debt to be as high as 20 billion dollars to make sure you're stocked with new seasons of Stranger Things.

'The Young Man from Atlanta'
Robert Massimi. In what is Horton Foote's second attempt at making The Young Man from Atlanta a success in New York, The Signature Theater opened this show Saturday evening in the hopes of greater success. The first version of this show, even though it won the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for drama, wasn't quite what it needed to be. Not until two years later, by which time it had been rewritten and recast, did The Young Man from Atlanta finally move from off Broadway to Broadway. Even then, it failed to have a long run. Foote's studies of Southern family life never had gone over big on Broadway. With Foote's A Trip to Bountiful, audiences began to realize his work was different and not as forward leaning in his plot structure.

Indie Films on Netflix in December 2019
Mid90s (A24) Source: The New York Times That’s right – Jonah Hill’s directorial debut is coming to Netflix next month. Set on the streets of Los Angeles in 1996, the film follows 13-year-old Stevie, who befriends a rebellious skateboarding crew whom he stumbles upon whilst trying to escape his troubled home life. If you love coming-of-age gritty comedies, you’re bound to enjoy this. If you love skateboarding movies, you’ll love it even more.

I Rewatched All the Harry Potter Movies Yesterday
I was working the other day. I work from home so I often have the television on for background noise. Honestly, most days I just let Netflix run through Supernatural all day. But I was flipping through the channels and there was a Harry Potter marathon on.

'The Crucible'
The Crucible at The Connelly Theater is aptly put on by Bedlam Productions in association with Nora Ensemble. This Crucible is frenetic to say the least. Under wonderful direction by Eric Tucker, the play moves for the most part quite quickly and smoothly. The Crucible is oddly enough the most read play by the legendary playwright, Arthur Miller. I say oddly because Miller's Death of a Salesman was required reading in High School. Arthur Miller has had many great bodies of work; The Master Builder; All My Sons; The Ride Down Mount Morgan and many more that make him arguably the best American Playwright ever (Tennessee Williams, Sam Shepard and Eugene O'Neil are the others often mention along with Earnest Hemingway).

A Jester and a Clown
We had a lot of great films that has come out in the year of 2019. We had Avengers Endgame, John Wick 3, Yesterday, and so on. But between the big summer films that were dominating this year, there were two films I couldn't forget. One film is about a man who has a mental disorder who’s living in a terrible condition, and the other is about a poor soul who is abandoned and is alone in an isolated place for a long time. These two might sound the same, but the only similarity is the characters the two films mostly focus on. These two characters I'm going to talk about is Arthur Fleck and Spinel.
