Paula Prentiss and Richard Benjamin’s arranged marriage has lasted 61 years
Duing the early days of Tinsel Town, movie stars who lived together without benefit of marriage were frowned upon. This is why actors Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss were encouraged to get married. Unlike many other arranged nuptials however, the Benjamins are together today six decades later. It was common back in the day for Hollywood head honchos to put pressure on single straight couples to marry and to push gay men and women to have "beards" which were fake husbands and wives in order to keep up an image that they were heterosexual.

The Night of the living duck: The final Looney Tune short to feature Mel Blanc
Swan song Mel Blanc has been described as the man with a thousand voices because he lent his vocal cords to a majority of the animated shorts that have thrilled us for many generations. His final short was a 6 minute Merrie Melodies offering titled "The Night of the living duck" which paled in comparison to previous work from Blanc. This is Blanc's swan song whether we like it or not. Some Baby Boomers have said that it seems as if the cartoon shorts and other work by Mel Blanc has been dummied down over the decades and lost some of the original magic.

It Must Be in the Water
It Must Be In the Water You never forget the town you grew up in and I certainly never will. The train tracks running down the middle of Main Avenue, the neighborhood kids I grew up with, the games we played, and the teachers we respected are what shaped us into what we are today.

Ginger Grant's various portrayers on ‘Gilligan’s Island’
GILLIGAN'S ISLAND ran on CBS from 1964-1967 and continues to be popular today in syndication. Right now you can also purchase episodes on various streaming services. Fans know that Tina Louise portrayed movie star Ginger Grant in all 98 episodes and is the only surviving member of the original cast of the show. Louise, however, was not the first nor the last actress in the role of the sexy movie star who was actually modeled after Marilyn Monroe. The character of Ginger was sultry and her voice was similar to Monroe's when she sang Happy Birthday to President John F Kennedy. Ginger's hairstyle and even her walk were inspired by that late sex symbol at the request of the powers that be.

'General Hospital' fans await confirmation of "blind item" and so do those who watch 'THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS'
The past two weeks have been filled with anticipation for soap fans who watch two of the four remaining daytime soaps. It was announced that a"blind" item indicated a popular actress was walking away from her role and at first it was said she was on GENERAL HOSPITAL. The rumor mill suggested Laura Wright and later Kelly Monaco but nothing was ever confirmed. The next teaser suggested it might be Michelle Stafford or Hunter King from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Daytime drama fans are curious and want the truth but so far they are still waiting.
