An acting powerhouse - Sanjeev Kumar
I would like to remember one of India's finest actors the late great Sanjeev Kumar today. Unfortunately he died in 1985 at the relatively young age of 47. In a career spanning more than 20 years he worked in about 100 Hindi movies. Most of his movies were very good and his performances were top notch. He won several acting awards during his career. I plan on discussing a few of his performances - the ones I have enjoyed the most over the years.

Constance Ford: a memorable unique actress
Constance Ford: A force of nature Ford had a face and personality that is hard to forget. She was referred to what was called back in the day as a cool blonde. Ford had a stare that was so ice ice cold and in her various roles she was either extremely vulnerable and taken advantage of or a fierce bitch and ruthless. Sometimes fans would see both sides of the actress in one character.

MacGyver's Michael Des Barres – TV and Life's Rock 'N Roll Assassin
Photo by Kent Geib In 1967, Michael Des Barres first Kent Geibappeared on the scene next to Sidney Poitier in, To Sir, with Love. On stage, his role in The Dirtiest Show in Town got the attention of Andrew Lloyd Webber and led directly to the formation of the so-called glam rock band, Silverhead. He went on to quite literally survive the “decadence and indulgence” of the time that many of his musical contemporaries did not. Whether coming out of the era alive played a role in creating the assassin that was Murdoc is open to question. But selling his interpretation to the producers of MacGyver was a clear function of the excessive aspect of the age, and he definitely didn’t ease into making an impression.
