San Diego Comic Con is just around the corner and there is so much going on even without the presence of major studios and Hall H. So how is one meant to plan for all of this nerdy amazingness? Well my answer will always be spreadsheets and now that the schedule is out for the whole week it is time to figure out and prioritize what the most important panels are. Now there are a lot of things of personal interest this year and I can’t hit everything but I am hoping to get a lot of interesting panel experiences done as well as simply bonding with my fellow nerds. Now this is my first time ever at SDCC so I am beyond excited, I have been trying to get tickets for nearly a decade now and I finally get to go as press, I have never felt more accomplished.
Friday
Good Omens Panel - Promoting Season 2
I know we are all eager to see where this incredible story is going to go in its second season (and as someone who has taken a sneak peak at season 2, you should be excited).
The McElroy Family
These boys host many podcasts (please everyone go listen to The Adventure Zone) and the hilarious family is making their way to SDCC.
Invincible - Promoting Season 2
An anniversary panel, a promotion panel and a special screening oh my! Plenty of ass kicking enjoyment coming your way.
Friday has a lot going on but this is where you will find me! As someone who has followed the McElroy’s for a while now I will say that is one of the panels that I am most excited for. And though I hope that the actors of SAG do join the strike I also (very selfishly) hope that there are no further changes to the comic con schedule.
Saturday
The one and only Felicia Day
This woman is my favorite part of being a female nerd. She is beautiful and brilliant and I can not wait to hang on to her every word.
Rachel Smythe
I am a huge fan of Lore Olympus, as so many are, and Rachel Smythe is going to be at SDCC to discuss her creation, how it came about and why it is so special.
Frank Miller Presents
The legendary Frank Miller is launching his own publishing company and here is where we get to hear all about it. So if you are a comic book fan, then you must indulge in seeing this industry changing man tell us about his new endeavor in a new aspect of the comic book industry.
Sunday
Now there is a lot going on Sunday as well but the most important thing is of course the interactive Once More With Feeling screening. As the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode is such an iconic one. (Really hoping I can get my daddy in for this one).
So many panels surround women breaking into so many aspects of the industry and as someone who is trying to do just that I can’t wait to catch some of these panels. As well as get some networking done (there is a comic book creator speed dating session that is going to be awesome). This is going to be my first San Diego Comic Con and I truly can’t wait to see and experience how incredible this is about to be. So if you are going to SDCC feel free to find me at any of these amazing panels and say hi! I love meeting and bonding with fellow nerds!
