New Martial Arts Animes Coming Soon!

By CorzatiPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Like with the action category, I can simply say one thing: martial arts genre anime is the only place where you will feel excitement nonstop. The blend of sheer skill, muscle power, and simple raw adrenaline definitely keeps you wanting more from them. If you also feel that the genre is really slowing down, well-think again. There are a great number of really exciting series coming up that could leave a great impact on these audiences in coming months. Let's delve into some of the new martial arts animes you should really have in your sights!

The first would be "Bujutsu Kaisen". It is the anime that has gone very trendy lately in the field, and the hype has really deserved to go that way. In the world where cursed spirits were something real and one would want to beware of, this anime takes martial arts together with a supernatural touch. The main character, Yuji Itadori, gets dragged into this chaotic world once he consumes a cursed object, which gives him unimaginable strength. What's great about Bujutsu Kaisen is how it approaches martial arts-it's not just about brute strength, but also the mastering of techniques that tap into spiritual and mental power. Expect insane battles, great choreography, and a plot that will keep you wanting more and more. If you're looking for a different kind of martial arts anime, well, this is going to be a must-watch.

And the next one is "Record of Ragnarok: Season 2". Now, if you have seen its first season, you know well that Record of Ragnarok is not a thing for the faint of heart. This anime brings some of history's most famous figures together and pits them against gods in an epic tournament spanning the fate of humanity. Though it is a little different from the typical martial arts anime, the fights are pure martial artistry. The combatants are all skilled in different forms of combat, from hand-to-hand fighting to weapons-based techniques, and the battles are nothing short of spectacular. Season 2 promises even more high-intensity showdowns, and I'm all here for it. If you love historical battles mixed with raw martial skill, you'll definitely want to watch this one.

Another highly anticipated anime is "Kengan Omega", the sequel to the very successful Kengan Ashura. If you loved the underground martial arts tournament from the first season, you're in for a treat because Kengan Omega ups the stakes even higher. This series is known for its incredible fight sequences and strategic battles that involve some of the most terrifying and powerful fighters in the world. The story happens in a world where business deals are settled through brutal one-on-one fights, and the fights are intense, with muscle-bound fighters pulling off insane moves. Fans of Baki Hanma will feel right at home in this world of high-stakes martial arts action. With new characters and intense fight choreography, Kengan Omega is set to be one of the most talked-about martial arts anime of the next few months.

And then there's "Fist of the Blue Sky: Requiem". A sequel to the legendary Fist of the North Star franchise, this has been the inspiration for martial arts fans for decades. Set in 1930s China, Fist of the Blue Sky follows the story of Raoh, the older brother of Kenshiro, as he takes on powerful martial artists in the lead-up to his ultimate destiny. The series will feature some of the most epic hand-to-hand combat you’ll ever see, mixed with incredible backstories and high-intensity battles. It is absolutely a martial arts anime for those old-school fans who loved Fist of the North Star, and it's also a pretty great entry point for those new to the franchise.

Last but not least is Season 2 of "The Way of the Househusband." Okay, hear me out, because this may not be your typical martial arts anime, but it still deserves a mention. A retired yakuza boss takes the position of a househusband after retirement from the criminal life. Still, the quiet life cannot kill the monster, and he keeps on implementing insane combat skills in even the most unimaginable things. Although more of a comedy, there's still tons of martial arts to get you both laughing and impressed at just how strong the character really is. Season 2 is in the works, and it's definitely one to look forward to if you're into martial arts with a comedic twist.
