My Review of "The Mandalorian: Season 3"
A very high production over the top enjoyable season. If you're a fan already, you're going to love this one.

The Mandalorian: Season 3 has finally finished up in 2023. They ended this season in a nice clean way where they can just end the series. I know that's not going to happen but I really appreciated how they ended this one with no cliffhanger and teaser. It is also probably one of the most over the top seasons that they've had yet.
This season starts off not too long from the end of the last season. Din Djarin aka Mandalorian has been banished because he had taken off his mask in the last season to save Grogu. I find it funny that they still call him Mandalorian instead of Din Djarin and everyone acknowledges Grogu by name. Mandalorian is what his race is called isn't this super racist to call someone by their race name?
So Din Djarin is on a quest to redeem himself for his heinous act. He has to go bath in some special waters of their home planet Mandalore. The problem is that Mandalore is said to have been uninhabitable. We soon discover this isn't the case when he goes to his old rival Bo Katan.
She is obviously distraught because she's lost all power after losing the darksaber to Din Djarin in the last season. She tells him that he can totally do it but be careful because the planet is filled with unhospitable hosts. Din Djarin is obviously a dog chasing a bone so he's going to go no matter what she says.
This season then starts to become about the Mandalorian people. It talks more about their rise and fall in history. This season is more about their eventual uprising after being on the run for so long. The story is particularly catered to a family friendly audience. Very digestible and fun. You can say that it feels very Star Wars-esque.
There are a ton of Star Wars tropes that you'll find sprinkled throughout the season. Some of them were a little on the nose that it felt like pandering to fans. It is Star Wars after all so I don't blame them. Still it was done in a way where I can see fans eating it all up.
You have your usual weird out of the blue stories that get brought up only for us to get to know the character before their demise. We know what's going to happen it's not rocket science as to what's going to happen to each of the characters. It's a beloved show that's not into surprising it's viewers into grief and distraught.
Most likely if you're already a fan of the show you're going to love this one because this one is just bigger and better than the last. That's what they've been doing successfully from season to season and if this is the last season I'm okay with it. They ended it off nice and clean where everyone is quite satisfied.
The action sequences of this one are over the top and spectacular. I was expecting no less because each episode was building towards these final sequences. They did a really good job with these effects too. It helps that all of the Mandalorians wear masks to help out with the special effects. Things look a little more natural when you don't have to see real faces.
Overall, I really had a great time with this season. It ended off on a really great high note and for fans a very satisfactory one. I think people will be talking about this series for a long time. It will be considered a classic for a lot of us. I have to give this season an 8.5 out of 10. Very good stuff and I hope their future Star Wars franchise shows will follow with the same quality as this one.
