The Supergirl Serum: Finale
I created the character Angelica with my friend Angelica in mind because she is strong in every sense of the word. There's been a lot going on lately and I wanted to put something positive in the world. So, please, I hope you enjoy this. Have a great day!

Movie Review: 'Columbus'
The film language of Columbus is quite striking. Director Kogonada elegantly eschews expository dialogue in favor of allowing his camera to deliver essential information. The story of Columbus centers on a pair of lost souls, Jin, played by John Cho, and Casey, played by Haley Lu Richardson. Jin and Casey bond over the architecture in the city of Columbus, Indiana, which has a unique architectural history to it.

Review: 'Devilman Crybaby'
This past weekend, I finally got to unwind and catch up on all the new anime that’s been coming out. Aside from My Hero Academia (which I think is really good, so far), I finally got to sit down and watch Devilman Crybaby, a Netflix original that premiered on the platform on January 9th.

'Black Mirror'
Do you love Black Mirror as much as I do? Okay, let’s get into it. Much has been made of BM’s foreboding, not-so-far away future where our current technology obsessed society has taken multiple swerves over to the dark side, leaving us viewers afraid to look at our phones. But you know it’s also, like, neat. What works best in BM, like any other show, is not just what it is about, but (I can’t stress this enough in my reviews) how it is about it. Sure, it’s cool as shit to see implants that record all of our memories, killer robot bees, or being able to physically block someone from your life, but it’s also damn cool when each of those stories is accompanied by some sort of unexpected twist and involves well drawn, relatable characters. BM does just that, and often just when you think you’ve worked out the commentary and the conceit, it slaps you upside the face with an ironical type shift in story. So yes, not only does the show work as a ‘reflection’ (ha ha) of where we may be heading as a civilization, but each episode, a few misfires aside, are finely written stories with delightful developments and nuanced people to inhabit the universe. So, by season (or series, if you will), here are my favourite episodes reviewed, from least to best in their respective series’ runs.

'Coco' Movie Review
The newly added movie to the Disney collection was 2017's Coco (2018 if you live in the UK). It follows the story of a young Mexican boy, Miguel, who strives to be a musician, to be like his idol, Ernesto De La Cruz. However, his family is strongly against musical activities because of Miguel's great-great grandfather leaving to pursue his music career and, unfortunately, never returning, leaving his wife to raise and support her child on her own.

Lightning Strikes Twice: 'The Wild Storm' Review
Alongside their lauded Rebirth line of comic book titles, publisher DC comics also launched a new line spearheaded by acclaimed British writer Warren Ellis and artist Jon Davis-Hunt titled: The Wild Storm. To anyone familiar with the works of Jim Lee, the early days of Image Comics, Lee's rise in rank in the offices of DC Comics and Warren Ellis's previous acclaimed series The Authority and Planetary, that name should sound familiar. The Wild Storm is a reboot of the former Wildstorm Universe, back after a long period of stagnation with a shot in the arm by the very man whose work gave the imprint it's most lauded work. But can lightning strike twice?

Loki's Nightmares
It’s the middle of the night and Thor is busting through Loki’s bedroom door because of the screams coming from Loki’s bedroom. As Thor busts through the door, Loki sits up rapidly. He is sweating and out of breath but still screaming. “Brother, what ailment makes you suffer so?” Thor asks Loki.

'Beauty and The Beast' 2017 Movie Review
First things first, I enjoyed the movie. I'm not saying it's worth an Oscar but it's not a terrible movie despite it being a remake. Compared to The Jungle Book and Cinderella Disney Remakes, I'd say it's worth an Oscar, hands down.

Brian Carney Puts His Dad’s Oscar and Honeymooner's Emmy on Display at Bobo’s Cafe
In the three years that Bobo’s has been open, a coffee in transit is always an option. On the other hand, the locale continues to standout as a sit down destination for Heritage Hills seniors, Somers students, and everything in between. Bobo’s doesn’t just keep it contained to good food, coffee and friends, though. Seniors know from Saturday oldies night in the summer. But on Sunday afternoon, Bobo’s gave their elders something to bring them back and probably will long rerun in their minds like a real life Honeymooner’s marathon.
