Endearing Children’s Video Aims for Inclusion for LGBTQ Children
Lexie Bean came to New York three years ago from Michigan with the hopes of making her mark as an actress. However, she envisioned her journey on a more ambiguous plane. “I wanted to come here to tell stories,” said the Ohio born native. On the other hand, the tumult most encounter in the ultimate unfolding of their story took a turn in the right direction before even getting here. It began with a question.

Movie Review: 'Early Man'
I have always enjoyed the work of Aardman Animation. The Aardman brand of animation is good-natured, pleasant and always amusing. The latest Aardman effort, Early Man, featuring the voice of Academy Award winner, Eddie Redmayne, is in keeping with the good-natured, pleasant, and amusing Aardman brand. This story of cavemen, Bronze Age baddies, and soccer is well accomplished and consistent if not all that memorable.

'The Cruel Prince' by Holly Black
I first heard talk of The Cruel Prince in January 2017. You read correctly—I waited a whole year for this book. Everyone loves a hate-turned-to-love story in the young adult book world, and the description of this book sounded like the perfect solution to this need. The fact that it involved faeries was a giant plus after The Court of Thorns and Roses books were so well received for its love story and unique setting.

Taking the world by storm, Stranger Things is a Netflix drama about the mystery of a missing child, Will Byers. Season one was first released on the July 15, 2016 followed by Season two on October 27, 2017 and ever since, it has had everyone sat on the edge of their seat for more. Luckily, Season three should premiere some time near the end of 2018 but I tell you this, it's worth the wait.

Larry Manetti Has No Reason to Say Aloha to Magnum After All These Years
Larry Manetti studied acting with the Ted List Players and landed his first role on Emergency in 1972. Sitting in the NBC commissary one day – basically trying to meet girls – Jack Webb entered in a rage. He had just fired the entire cast of a show called Chase. “You’re an actor right?” he grabbed Manetti, and a contract was his the next day. While lasting only six weeks, it left Manetti under contract at Universal Studios. There, Robert Conrad took a liking to him. Soon enough, he was on Baa Baa Black Sheep, and that paved the way for his signature role as “Rick” on Magnum PI. But the biggest name that can be dropped in association with Larry Manetti came when he was only seven and officially put a spark to his acting bug.

Movie Review: 'Samson'
The biggest success for the movie Samson is that it isn’t completely terrible. That is not something that can be said of most Pureflix movies. The Pureflix brand of pandering, hateful, choir preaching religious entertainment tends to be terrible as both a movie and as a piece of religious propaganda. Samson is, at the very least, moderately entertaining. The makers of Samson stick to closely to the biblical legend and leave the propaganda to the hateful likes of the God's Not Dead franchise.

Marvel's Cinematic Universe: Worst to Best
I haven't seen Black Panther yet, it's not on the list; why don't you let me know where you'd rank it? Tweet me. Marvel's Cinematic Universe is the only cinematic universe currently functioning and is generally considered to deliver pretty consistently solid films. Let's just see how I feel about that.

Oscars Countdown: 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri'
Every award season has an early favorite that, for no apparent reason, loses steam over time just so the Oscars can be competitive despite being the last in a slate of ceremonies. It’s as if people just grew tired of voting for The Revenant, Avatar, or the many others who’ve fallen victim to this trend. This year, that early winner is Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The film’s success must be as tedious as its title to the many who foresee a not so surprise upset for The Shape of Water to end our big night.

A Review of Chris Rock's 'Tamborine'
The last two years or so have been enriched with black comedy. From Dave Chappelle's previous work with Netflix and his time at Radio City Music Hall to Trevor Noah's brilliant job on The Daily Show, black comedy has not been this prominent in pop culture in years. When I saw that Chris Rock was going to have a new comedy special on Netflix, I was extremely excited, and of course, Rock did not disappoint.

The 8 Most Anticipated Movies of 2018
Wow. You know, I usually don't watch a lot of movies. Maybe only one or two a year, but this year, I'm gonna have to break out and watch a lot more than that, because there are just way too many good movies coming out this year.

If You Haven’t Read Harry Potter Here Is Why You Should
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone came out June 26, 1997. I was a fresh two-year-old at this point in time and didn't pay much mind to it. When I was just a little bit older, I remember spending the night with my uncle and waking up to him watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I remember it so clearly because I took one look at the screen, saw the basilisk and immediately left the room. Still a little too young.

My Few Days as a Strange Doctor
9/20/17 Today is Wednesday, another boring day of this week. As any other strange doctor on the planet full of weird unnatural beings, I must attend school. Today is a special day at school though because it’s the one day of the year that anyone who is anything can come and learn. There is Superwoman, pickles, a mystery truck, an odd spooky little girl, Winnie the Pooh and the donkey, among many others. I am studying my doctorate to be able to save the citizens of our planet one day. The only reason I hate this day is that I am questioned about my name being Doctor Strange, but I’m like, it’s obvious. I wear a doctor jacket with two scarves tied around the head, along with some pajamas and the best combination of all socks and scandals. Everyone thinks it’s strange, and they're right. I enjoy my unique status. They should be careful to not offend me as some have attempted to do so while judging my behavior and appearance because one day I will be operating on them and they won’t be laughing ever again.
