Review: 'I, Tonya'
As I'm a big fans sports fan, I am already aware of this particular incident that the film is covering. The story itself is quite fascinating and does show America in its darkest side of stereotype. We all know America's strong mentality to win and dominate. This is wonderfully portrayed in this dark story, and I am pretty positive people who watch this film and are not aware of the story will be totally amazed by it.

Hunter S. Thompson
He was the father of what is known as gonzo journalism. His raw, seething reports of what he witnessed and experienced left nothing to the imagination. He made you feel as if you were there with him. He sadly committed suicide on February 20, 2005. This world was much stranger than anything he could have wrote, and finally he caved in under the pressure of his own genius.

'iZombie' Writer Bob Dearden on What It's Like to Write for the Hit Show and What We Can Expect From Season 4
Jason Schwartz: First things first, how did you get started writing for iZombie? Bob Dearden: Well, if you want to go back to before the beginning, I had a very different first career as a silviculture supervisor in the Canadian forest industry. I’d had a desire to go to film school after my undergrad studies, but had back-burnered that idea more and more as I got deeper into the forestry job. Eventually, I got to a point where I knew if I didn’t give something else a shot, it was going to be forestry for life. Which would’ve been fine, but I still had that lingering dream to work in film or TV, and wanted to take a crack at it. So I went back to school, enrolling in the MFA Screenwriting program at UT Austin.

Things Theatre Has Taught Me
For those that know me and for those that don't, I spend more time in my local theatre than I do in my own home. At the age of three my mum introduced me to this beautiful, singsongy, colourful world and I have not left. Being a 19-year-old actor/director/writer/all around creative soul, I'm proud to say that my world revolves around the theatre. Consequently, each show and each soundtrack I listened to is a keepsake of a point in my life, whether it be a happy or sad moment or a moment filled with passion or anger. Although theatre isn't meant to be therapy, it is very therapeutic in the sense that it teaches you a multitude of fundamental life lessons.

'Grease 3: The Grease Awakens'
There's a trend in Hollywood: reduce, reuse, and recycle. There aren't all that many blockbusters that are irresistibly original like Lady Bird or Birdman, but in place of originality we have sequels and reboots that have turned out great, but flooded the market. Whether or not this should be happening is a completely different article. Rather: what should they make next?

Ranking the Movies of 2018: Week 6
Black Panther blew my mind this week with its absolute awesomeness. While I could not make it my number one for the year, it leaped in at number three for the year and the number one overall movie of 2018 in terms of movies actually released this year. Ryan Coogler has changed the face of superhero movies, quite literally, and the world of superheroes is better for it.

'Your Name' Review
Introduction In summer of 2016, Japanese filmmaker Makoto Shinkai released a film that put tears in the eyes of audiences all over the world. Your Name, or Kimi no Na wa as it’s called in its native tongue, is an animated, supernatural, romance story about two young strangers who mysteriously switch bodies. Since the film’s release over a year ago, it’s been distributed in countries across the globe and has been translated from Japanese into others languages including English, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, German, and Brazilian. Not only has it been praised to death by audiences and critics, but people have even gone so far as to call Shinkai “The Next Miyazaki” (and in case you don’t know who that is, Miyazaki is basically Japan’s Walt Disney… a household name, kind of a big deal)! I saw quite a few articles online talking about how great this film is when it first came out, yet I avoided it for the most part because romance movies were never really my thing. But after all this time, curiosity finally got the best of me. I decided to watch it for myself and here’s what I observed (I’ll avoid any major spoilers)...

Chris Rock Wants to Slaughter White Children
So, let’s talk about Chris Rock’s New Netflix Special. In this special, he said "I want to live in a world with real equality. I want to live in a world where an equal amount of white kids are shot every month. An equal world. I want to see white mothers on TV crying." Edgy? Definitely! Offensive? Maybe. Racist? No. Did he mean it? No.

'Black Panther': Believe the Hype
Marvel continues to test fans with another three-movie year on the way. Superhero fatigue wants to be a thing, but the movies are just too good to let it happen. The MCU has become more of a genre than it is a finite franchise so, much to our benefit and the dismay of others, it seems this first decade was only the beginning. Black Panther ushers in a next ten years, and does so with style.

Just a List of Times Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir Were Obviously in Love
Last night, Canadian ice dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir broke a world record and won their third gold (and fifth overall) Olympic medal. They now have more Olympic medals than any other figure skaters in history. They’re also like, really hot.
