From 'Pepper' to 'Peggy': Influence of Women Power in the MCU
For far too long, the word "superheroes" have gone up shoulder-to-shoulder with men, leaving the women out of the equation. Heroes have been visualized as caped and suited men and until today, people fail to grasp the meaning of being a "hero." Being a hero doesn’t necessarily signify capes or superhuman strength; it’s what lies within a person. It’s the heart that counts. While the men have snatched the limelight in the MCU so far, it’s important to focus on the other gender for a while. Let’s look at some of the important contributions in the MCU from the ladies.

'That 70's Show's' Biggest Mistake
Like any good TV show, That 70’s Show is not perfect and infuriated its own audience with a series of mistakes. The downfall of this extremely popular show is usually credited with the eighth and final season that is not held highly by its groovy following. In fact, most fans tend to disregard it all together, which is not hard to understand considering it plays like a series of character assassinations and frustratingly inadequate story-lines. But believe it or not, the horror of the eighth season is not what I credit as the show’s biggest injustice. In fact, this mistake occurs much earlier. The first season of any show is only the warm-up to what the audience might be viewing later. So with it comes introductions, hesitant story-lines, and blooming characters. That 70’s Show hit its eleventh episode when it introduced Buddy Morgan (as portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt). And as it turns out, he happens to be gay and interested in our main character, Eric, which brings us to the true crime of the show. Buddy Morgan was intended to be a recurring character but he ended up being cut from the show before he could even make another appearance. A true mistake and I will tell you why.

The X-Men Are in the MCU… But What About Magneto?
The news that Disney are finally acquiring 20th Century Fox has opened up possibilities that many of MCU fans thought they could only dream of. Properties such as the X-Men, X-Force, New Mutants, Wolverine, Deadpool, the Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer, the Savage Land, the Starjammers and the Shi’ar are all coming home and could potentially interact with your favourite Avengers on screen. However, one character’s transition from the Fox-verse may be a tad problematic. I’m talking of course, about the X-Men’s greatest foe, the Master of Magnetism: Magneto.

A Short Review of Mary Shelley (2018, Haifaa al-Mansour)
Being a committed and passionate reader of Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley (also a fan of the rather unfaithful Universal and Hammer adaptations, forgive me Mary), I had to investigate this film, which is notably directed by Saudi Arabia's first female filmaker, Haifaa al-Mansour.

Why Are You Ranking: Best of the Denys Arcand Film Series From Slightly Stimulated to Aroused
(Disclaimer: For this list, there is at first glance, omissions. The films, DaysofDarkness (2007) and The Fall of the American Empire (2018) seem to be swept from the annals of the places like Amazon and as of this writing, the latter may not be available for purchase or rental yet. So only two of filmmaker Denys Arcand’s works in the series will be evaluated here.)

Revisiting 'The Rock'
The name Michael Bay and the phrase "great film" don't often appear together. Bay has proven with films such as Armageddon and the Transformers franchise to be the poster child of the current Hollywood "wham-bam-thank you ma'am!" style of filmmaking. That is to say, the kind of filmmaking that emphasizes style over substance. And yet, back in the mid-1990s, Bay got the mix right for one film. That film was The Rock.

Top 20! Yu-Gi-Oh Cards That Are Gay Icons
After a 5 year break from the competitive YU-GI-OH! scene, a few months ago, I decided to get back in the game and practise my skills through some online platforms that let you play with other players from across the world. However, while trying to build a deck that meets my expectations, competitively and aesthetically, I came across the classic "gaymer" dilemma:

'Arrow': Will the Writers Redeem Team B or Expect Fans to Forget the Betrayal?
When Arrow ended its sixth season in May, Green Arrow was working alongside Mr. Terrific, Black Canary, and Wild Dog once again in an effort to bring down Ricardo Diaz. Viewers didn't know Oliver had brokered a deal with the FBI for help, and while the fighting raged on, he issued apologies to the members of Team B, as referred to by the fans (or Not Team Arrow). Needless to say, Oliver's words didn't sit well with faithful viewers who have been wanting to see this team erased from the Arrowverse.

TV Shows That All 2000s Kids Grew Up Watching
1) 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody' AH, the nostalgia. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was iconic childhood entertainment for anyone who grew up in the 2000's. Following the twin brothers on their adventures around the Tipton hotel with the friends, and eventually girlfriends, was always a fun time.
