General Hospital: The Wu family is growing

Some General Hospital fans have been confused by a recent announcement related to Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) being released from Pentonville. It was revealed a few weeks back that mob princess Nina Wu (Lydia Look) was Brad's aunt. She is usually referred to as Ms. Wu or Madame Wu so she is not confused with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Now there is a new wrinkle in the situation because a Selina Wu is going to approach Britt Westbourne ( Kelly Thiebaud) in regard to Brad's getting out of jail.

Some fans wondered if the senior Wu's name changed so there would not be two Nina's in Port Charles and one asked the question on Twitter.

"Is Selina a relative or has your character name been changed from Nina to Selina? ... General Hospital spoilers for Monday, November 8 reveal that Ms. Wu ..."

No name has been given of an actress that will portray this new character but since Madame Wu already secured Sonny's promise to not interfere with Brad's hearing perhaps Selina needs help in another area. Brad will need somewhere to live once he is out of jail and he will also need a job. Selina could be a cousin or even the daughter of the elder Wu. She obviously will know that Brad and Britt are friends so the family must have been keeping tabs on him.

Sonny Corinthos will be key in Brad's release from prison

Although Sonny promised not to speak up for Brad or to try to stop him from being released spoilers say he will be at the hearing. Michael will also be there and will desire Brad to serve out his full sentence. Sonny guaranteed Ms. Wu that he spoke for his entire family and that none of them would try to harm him if he got out early. He did not say that he would stop Michael from speaking at the hearing.

Spoilers also tease that on December 16 Sonny will do something kind and it's possible that he might decide to say something in Brad's favor. More of his Mike personality is coming out so if he says nothing during the hearing Sonny might extend an olive branch once Brad is released.

Parry Shen fans are delighted

General Hospital viewers have been saying how much they wanted Parry Shen back on the ABC soap. Fans are also expressing their respect for the way Lydia Look embraces the role as head of one of the 5 families and say she is a badass. Once Brad is out he may be grateful to his aunt for getting him released and also talking to Sonny. The next photo of Madame Wu might even show Selina on one side and Brad on the other.

Spoilers have not given any indication as to what type of life Bradley Cooper will live once he is back in Port Charles. All that is known at this point is that he will be set free. Viewers knew Brad was adopted but not much about his adoptive family. It was also known that he had a connection to the Wu family but no details have to light until now. In time the plot will unfold and Selina and Madame Wu could have a more prominent role in Port Charles society.

This will be a much needed change from the current storylines with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Viewers should be delighted to have something unexpected to look forward to so stay tuned. Be on the lookout for updates and spoilers related to the Wu family and their intentions towards Brad.
