'General Hospital' spoilers say Cameron Mathison will portray Drew Cain

The identity of Cameron Mathison's character on GENERAL HOSPITAL has been kept tightly under wraps. It has been suggested that he might be mob boss Vincent Novak but Mattheson does not seem the type to play such a role. There has also been speculation that he would become Drew Cain raised from the dead. Now, spoilers are saying that "reliable sources" have confirmed that Cameron will show up in Port Charles as Drew but viewers know not to believe everything that is in print.

During this past year "trusted leakers" have been wrong on items that were revealed related to all the soaps. There was a time when you read that a "set insider" had released information you could take it to the bank. When these spoilers are wrong it's never clear where the misinformation came from and this causes daytime fans to not trust what they read. Regarding Cameron Mathison, it is being alleged that the information comes from the same GENERAL HOSPITAL leakers who first revealed that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter and that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was going to die.

Just because the set insiders were correct regarding Chloe and Franco is no guarantee that they are accurate regarding Cameron Mathison. Viewers can read the above article and decide for themselves. Below is a spoiler that reported in June that Mathison might be Drew Cain. A bigger question for GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers is why would the show bring back Drew now, and replace Billy Miller? Fans were crushed when the beloved Miller was revealed to be Drew and not Jason and were devastated when he died off screen.

It was hoped that he would return so that together with Franco they could take down Peter August but that storyline went in an entirely different direction. Drew has his daughter Scout and his adopted mother Monica but outside of that, he does not really have any connections in Port Charles. There is always a chance that he and Sam might reconnect because most GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers believe that Lulu might wake up and be reunited with Dante.

There is a lot of confusion on GENERAL HOSPITAL right now and viewers are hoping that things will settle down and they can make sense of all that is going on. Regarding Vincent Novak, as mentioned earlier Cameron Mathison does not seem like he would be a good fit for a mob boss. There is also the fact that based on the storyline Novak would be older but you never know. The rumor mill had suggested that Carly was going to marry a mob boss to protect her family and on Friday it was revealed that Novak is the one who stole a Corinthos shipment.

GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers will also recall that there was a Mr. Novak at the meeting of the five families. His face could not be seen very well but from the side, he did not look like Cameron Mathison. It's possible this was simp a stand-in until Mathison was available. The actor mentioned not long ago that he was filming in Canada which might explain why it has taken so long for him to show up in Port Charles.

The only thing that is known with certainty is that Cameron Mathison will soon show up in Port Charles. He might be Drew Cain. Vincent Novak, or someone completely different. Astute GENERAL HOSPITAL fans know to take spoilers with a grain of salt and a wait-and-see attitude. It's possible the 'trusted sources' could be spot on and Drew Cain comes back from the dead.
