General Hospital fans have questions about storylines and missing characters
Viewers desire answers about veteran actors and what comes next.

General Hospital viewers are wondering why four cast members appear AWL in Port Charles and why a fifth has not been memorialized. Let's take a look at what has fans asking questions even though no answers have come yet.
Anna and Tracy are missing from Port Charles
Veteran cast members Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) have not been seen in Port Charles lately. Anna was kidnapped, and her family and friends believe she has taken a WSB mission. Tracy left town abruptly and was not around when her son, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was shot.
Ned was released from the hospital in time for Thanksgiving but Tracy did not return home for the holiday. The Q family gathering was lackluster this year, and spoilers suggesting Outback would eat the turkey were wrong. The family gave their meal to the employees of General Hospital.
Rumors that Hughes was ill were all over the Internet, but she was recently spotted out and about. The actress celebrates 40 years on GH this year and 42 since she starred with John Travolta in the film Staying Alive.

Where are Jane Elliot and Finola Hughes?
Perhaps Anna's absence is storyline-related, and once the holidays are over, someone will realize she is missing. There have been no rumblings about Elliot possibly being ill. There has been speculation that she may have left the soap again, as she did in 2017.
At that time, she retired but began returning during the holidays. She has now been a full-time cast member again for several years. Actors have a right to their privacy, but fans desire to know that they are OK. No one representing Elliot or Hughes has made a statement, and neither has General Hospital.

Mac Scorpio is missed
Fans have also noticed that John J York (Mac Scorpio) has been absent for a while and hope cancer has not returned. There has been no news about him, so viewers can only watch and wait.
During COVID-19, fans began saying there was a General Hospital curse because more than a dozen cast members were diagnosed with COVID, while others had accidents, surgery, family deaths, and several of the cast members passed away. Some fans are wondering if a new wave of life happening is affecting the cast

Dr. Randolph and Robert's memorial
In addition, GH viewers wonder why Casandra James (Dr. Terry Randolph) is not getting more screen time. She was in one recent episode, but as Co-Chief of Staff, she should be seen as equally as Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr), who is using theri office to spend time with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
Another question GH viewers have is when the show will honor Tristan Rogers ( Robert Scorpio), who spent four decades in Port Charles.. The veteran actor, who died this past summer, and his character were beloved. Fans hope his memorial will not take as long as the one for Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine).

What comes next in Port Charles?
Hopefully, Anna, his ex-wife, and his brother Mac will be on hand when Robert's death is addressed onscreen, and Emma Samms might return as Holly Sutton.
General Hospital fans also desire Tracy to return in rare form and to see more of Terry. Be watching for spoiler alerts, breaking news, and updates about these characters and the action in Port Charles.
There are unsolved mysteries and deaths where no one has been arrested. GH viewers say it's long past time these storylines are wrapped up. Will Jane Elliot, John J York, Cassandra James and and Finola Hughes return? Time will tell.
