General Hospital fans debate which man Maxie will choose

Maxie will return with a big choice to make

General Hospital viewers are already jumping the gun when it comes to the romantic life of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), who was placed in a coma. Many believe she will inevitably reunite with Nathan West (Ryan Paevy) when she wakes up and returns to Port Charles. Other fans hope she remains with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).

The usual scenario in the soap world would be for Maxie to declare her love for Spinelli and the family they have been raising together. Damian has been helping to raise their daughter, Georgie Spinelli ( Lily Fisher), James West (Gary James Fuller), who is Nathan's son, and Bailey Lu Jones (Miley and Reilly Planski), the daughter of Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

Maxie would deny her feelings for Nathan and possibly be angry that he was away so long. Eventually, over time, she would decide he is the man she loves and break Spinelli's heart.

The thing is, that many General Hospital viewers say they are enjoying the blended family and don't want to see it disrupted. These fans are not looking forward to watching Spinelli's life be blown apart. Fans appreciate how he has declared his love for his Maximista and want them to remain together.

Had Nathan returned within the first year or two, those who watch General Hospital would have welcomed him with open arms and expected a reunion with Maxie. Seven years is a long time, and his return disrupts everything for his loved ones in Port Charles.

His son has grown up without him, his stepdaughter is now a teenager, and he has a new stepchild. Since it's been so long, and Nathan was declared dead and buried, he is no longer Maxie's husband.

Life has gone on, and last week, James told Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) that he wished he were his dad. This dynamic may also be shifted with Nathan back in the picture.

James has bonded with Cody in a way he has not with Spinelli, but he still loves his almost stepfather. Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is torn about this situation because she loves Spinelli.

She also knows that James needs to connect with his father. Some viewrs believe Spinelli does not stand a chance, while others say he does.

Which man will Maxie choose?

Nathan may have returned differently, and fans may not like this new version. he appeared the same when he first woke up, but time will tell. Maxie might find herself with both men declaring their love and proposing. She will have to choose, and either Spinelli or Nathan will be brokenhearted.

Kirsten Storms is expected to return in November or December. Until then, Spinelli will be dealing with a lot.
