Will Lipton is focusing on his band

General Hospital viewers were stunned when fan favorite Will Lipton left his role as Cameron Webber. They were also angry that the soap had ruined the sweet love story he had with Joslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) by having their first time together become a sex tape, and later she cheated with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Lipton was born in California on June 2, 2003, and began portraying Cam in 2018. He was last seen on the ABC soap in 2024. Since leaving Gh, he has been busy with his band, The Runarounds, which was formed in 2021.

The other band members are Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher. Some time ago, Will announced they were working on a new project, and now more details are available.

The Runarounds will star in a Prime Video series

Soap Opera Digest recently reported that the Prime Video musical drama series starring Lipton and his real-life bandmates now has a premiere date. Titled The Runarounds, there are eight episodes, all of which will drop on Monday, September 1, which is good news for the soap vet's followers.

In addition to Lipton being a series regular on General Hospital, he appeared in The Adventures of Thomasina Sawyer, A Girl Named Khan, Finding Harmony, and the music video Michelle Lu: Seattle. This will be the first time his bandmates have had acting roles. According to TV Insider, Lipton shared the following:

“It’s a dream come true,” “Since I was a very, very young kid growing up doing acting and music, my biggest dream role was something that involved heavy music and heavy acting. I already got to experience some on General Hospital, but this show is all about the making of a band, and it’s been the best.”

Does Cameron have a future in Port Charles?

If Cameron were to return to Port Charles, what would his future look like?Joss is now working for the WSB, and Dex is dead. When Cameron was a child, he and Spencer Cassadine vied for the affection of Emma Scorpio Drake.

When Braeden Bruner joined General Hospital as Emma, many fans believed she and Cam would begin dating, but Lipton left the show before the role was recast, and he did not return. If Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) does not reunite with Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrip), perhaps she and Cam might get together. They once were very close and shared a kiss.

The Runarounds is a coming-of-age saga

"The Runarounds" showcases Lipton and his band members as a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina. They form a rock band in the summer following their graduation. The teens are driven by their passion for music and their ambition for stardom. Through it all, they enjoy an unforgettable summer.

The band members will experience love and adventure while forging strong friendships. The series features original music from The Runarounds and takes viewers on an exciting journey of teen boys coming of age.

Across eight episodes, the story illustrates the determination of these young men to pursue their dream of becoming a popular band. They fall in love, party, and pursue their heart's desire. The eight-part series promises to be a hit with General Hospital viewers and all who watch it.

Has Will Lipton moved on from Port Charles, or will he return someday? Could music become his full-time career or will he continue to work on other projects? Time will tell, but in the meantime, be sure to save the date: September 1, on Prime Video. Congratulations to The Runarounds.
