Every 11 Deaths In The Bondsman Season 1
Brutality Ranking

Despite having a straightforward plot, The Bondsman captivates audiences with its gory action scenes and extravagant character deaths. The Bondsman, starring Kevin Bacon, tells the well-known tale of a character who must hunt down demons in order to be saved after returning from hell. The show makes sure that viewers never have a dull moment by including some strange and violent character death scenes, even though its plot may seem a bit too predictable and repetitive.
Since The Bondsman unfolds more like a comedy horror series, it intentionally adopts a campy tone and ensures its action sequences stretch one's suspension of disbelief. Instead of easing into its action and brutality, the Amazon Prime Video show immerses viewers in its wild, chaotic world from the start by featuring a disturbing scene in its opening episode itself. With what follows, the stakes get higher and the show gradually ups the ante by taking a no-holds-barred approach towards portraying violence and exaggerated death sequences.
Lilith Shows What She Is Capable Of
The Last Demon Viciously Kills Several Men Through Mind Control
Hub and his team are unable to defeat the Pyralis in episode 7 of The Bondsman. Lilith, one of the Shackled Seven demons, consequently enters the human world. She is extremely resentful of men because she was exiled by God and tortured by Satan. As a result, she goes to a nearby pub shortly after taking over as host and brutally murders every man there in front of their wives. She immediately causes the men to rip their own jaws off with her mind-control powers, and their wives continue to be enchanted by her and devotedly watch her.
She takes possession of Maryanne and uses her as her host to mind control Lucky after Hub spares her and releases her into the human world. The same treatment is given to Lucky as it is to the other men who met Lilith. Lilith's kill scenes are more disturbing and impactful to the plot than any other because, before the credits roll in The Bondsman, she demonstrates to Hub how she can destroy the human realm if he does not agree to assist her in her fight against Satan.
An iconic Ash vs. Evil Dead trope is recreated by The Bondsman.
Hub Kills A Demon With A Chainsaw
Hub uses a shotgun to blow Slypharis's head, eliminating one of his two victims. He misses the other host's head, though, and to his dismay, the gun runs out of bullets. At this point, he spots a chainsaw and uses it to cut the demon host's head before he can hurt him. Despite not being nearly as iconic as Ash vs. Evil Dead, The Bondsman does a respectable job of subtly referencing the horror comedy series with its gory chainsaw kill scene.
Two Humans Are Held by Slypharis at the Same Time
The hosts of the Demon face a terrifying apocalypse.
In the fifth episode of The Bondsman, one of the wives tries to break up a fight between two men over a trivial issue. But when Slypharis, another demon, appears and attacks the two men by turning a whole car on their bodies, things quickly take a bad turn. This sets up one of the show's most gory scenes, in which the two men are badly mangled by the weight of the car, but they seem to be alive due to the demonic possession.
Hub and Maryanne Collaborate to Overthrow Erdos
Maryanne Has Brush With Doom Before Hub Saves Her
In The Bondsman's episode 4, Maryanne, Hub's wife, follows him to a nearby store by mistake and soon runs into Erdos in Deputy Sheriff Briggs' corpse. This results in an intense confrontation between the demon and the ex-couple, in which Erdos almost defeats Hub. But rather than running from the scene in terror, Maryanne strikes Briggs with an axe in an attempt to save her husband. The policeman appears unconcerned when the axe becomes stuck in his back, much to her surprise.
When the demon leaves Hub and tries to capture her, the situation for the female character takes a terrifying turn. But Hub destroys the demon's vessel and shoots Briggs in the head before he can hurt her. Maryanne's face is bloodied as a result, but she is thankful that she survived.
Before emerging from the depths of hell, Hub dies.
Lucky's throat is slashed by his men.
The Bondsman opens with a vicious murder in which Hub, played by Kevin Bacon, sets out to murder some villains. But things quickly go against him when one of Lucky's men overpowers him and slashes his throat. To his astonishment, though, he quickly rejects death without understanding that the devil has granted him another chance at life in a dire situation.
Then, as he sets out to exact revenge on the men who killed him, Hub observes the slow healing of his fatal neck wound. One of the show's most graphic sequences occurs during these scenes, in which Hub stands there resisting death while smoke shoots from the open wound on his neck. This gives viewers a preview of the violence that will occur later in Hub's story, which jump-starts the show.
Valacor Kills and Takes The Priest
The Demon Is Burning TThe Face Off of the Priest
An evil force confronts a local priest inside his church in the first moments of The Bondsman episode 2. The priest throws holy water and recites Bible passages in an effort to combat the demonic entity. To his disappointment, though, nothing seems to work. The demon then literally burns him from the inside out, killing him. Half the priest's face melts and he falls to the ground, flames rising from his eyes. Shortly after the demon takes possession of him, he gets back up and begins using him as a means of taking more lives.
Hub's enemies are killed by the first demon before he can
The twisted bodies of the demon's victims are discovered
Near the conclusion of The Bondsman's first episode, Valacor, the first demon in the first season of the show, appears. Hub struggles to understand what is happening to him, and his confusion is heightened when he sees the demon kill Lucky's men by himself without even touching them. To kill them, the demon twists their arms and feet into the most horrifyingly twisted positions and launches them into the ceiling. Later, Lucky is horrified to see his men brutally murdered when he gets to the scene of the killings.
Hub and His Mother Collaborate to Get Rid of Valacor
In the end, Hub's mother comes to the rescue.
Hub's mother agrees to work with him to help him get rid of demons in the closing moments of The Bondsman episode 2. Hub is reluctant to let her accompany him at first, but he finally gives in. This choice turns out to be advantageous because his mother saves him by shooting Valacor from a distance when he is struggling to defeat him. Even though this kill isn't nearly as noteworthy as the others, it does demonstrate how powerful Hub and his mother are.
Deputy Sheriff Briggs' body is taken over by Erdos,
who appears powerless to stop the overpowered demon.
A local Deputy Sheriff is the target of Erdos, another demon that rises from the depths of hell halfway through The Bondsman season 1. The Sheriff sees the demon through the rare-view mirror as soon as he gets into his vehicle. But the demon cuts his throat and enters his body before he can even respond to the situation.
Marphos Submerges His Human Prey
The Demon drowns his host in a bathtub in Episode 3.
After entering the human world, Marphos searches for a human host, just like every other demon in The Bondsman. Prior to taking possession of her body, it kills a high school cheerleader by drowning her in her own bathtub. This scene emphasizes how Marphos symbolizes water, one of the five elements depicted in the inverted pentagram, even though it is not as violent as the other demon killings in the series.
Hub Turns the Element of Marphos Against Him
The Demon Almost Submerges the Hub
In episode 3, after Hub finds Marphos and gets to the nearby high school, the demon nearly kills him by drowning him in a swimming pool. But Hub is able to stab the demon's host in the eye before he passes out underwater. According to the show, the demon will be expelled and sent to hell if the host's brain is destroyed. As a result, the demon goes back to hell after Hub drives his knife into Marphos' host's eye, and the host, despite being in the water, catches fire.
