The Foundation Cultural Latin GRAMMY® and Ford Motor Company Fund they will join forces to offer a new virtual educational program

MIAMI (JUNE 25, 2020) —The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation®, in collaboration with the Ford Motor Company Fund, announced a new virtual educational program in which a performance and conversation with the singer and songwriter will be presented Becky G. The event—scheduled for June 30 at 3 p.m. ET (US Eastern Time) /12 p.m. (Pacific Time in the United States) — can be seen through the youtube channel Latin GRAMMYs™, will include a virtual question session with music students from the 20 schools that have previously participated in the Latin GRAMMY En Las EscuelasÔ programs and will be moderated by Chiquinquirá Delgado, host of the program Look Who's Dancing from Univision.

For the first time — adjusting to the limitations imposed by COVID-19 — the program will be completely virtual and will offer more than 1,000 students around the world the opportunity to participate in the Foundation's first virtual event. Participating schools are: Los Angeles High School (Los Angeles), Southwood Middle School Center for the Arts (Miami), Music Program 100 x 35 (Puerto Rico), Rancho High School (Las Vegas), Ronald W. Reagan Doral Senior High School (Miami), Technical Secondary School 31 "Roberto Medellín" (Mexico), Afro Latin Jazz Academy of Music (New York), Desert Pines High School (Las Vegas), John A. Ferguson Senior High School (Miami), Las Tunas ONG (Argentina), Miami Senior High School (Miami), Escuela Especializada Libre de Música de Arecibo (Puerto Rico), AC Blunt Middle School (Aransas Pass,TX), Humacao Free Specialized Music School (Puerto Rico), Hialeah Senior High School (Miami), WE. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy (Dallas, TX), West Miami Middle School (Miami), Huntington Park High School (Los Angeles), Jovita Idár K-8 and Victoria Soto High School (Chicago) and the Ernesto Ramos Antonini Specialized School of Fine Arts from Yauco (Puerto Rico).

Since the inception of the collaboration between the Latin GRAMMY Foundation and Ford Fund — the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company — in 2014, more than 7,000 students have benefited from donations of musical instruments —worth an estimated $500,000— to schools located in Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and New York in the United States; and in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mexico City, Mexico; and Arecibo, Humacao and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Latin GRAMMY En Las Escuelas is an educational program that informs music students and connects them with Latin music professionals, in addition to providing support to financially constrained music departments of educational institutions. The Foundation invites artists, professional musicians and sound engineers to visit middle and high schools, universities or institutions that teach music so that they can tell students their personal stories and experiences, highlighting the effort required to overcome professional obstacles. The objective is for students to learn to optimize the educational opportunities presented to them and thus give them an advantage and solid academic preparation so that they can compete in the music sector.

Among the artists who have participated in the program are: Angela Aguilar, Marilina Bertoldi, David Bisbal, Miguel Bosé, 13th Street, Pedro Capó, Chino & Nacho, Luis Coronel, Sylvester Dangond, Joss Favela, Fonseca, Luis Fonsi, Kany Garcia, Local people, Leslie Grace, Charles Jean, Jesse & Joy, Natalia Lafourcade, Poncho Lizárraga, Claudia Montero, Ednita Nazario, Christian Nodal, Angel "Cucco" Pena, Prince Royce, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Tañón, Diego Torres, Carlos Vives, Wisin and Sebastian Yatra.
