Band Aid - A Movie Review
'Band Aid' is a helpful therapy movie for couples.

What if we turn all our fights into songs?
Band Aid is a 2017 indie film. Anna and Ben argue about any little thing that sets them off. To make their marriage work, the couple creates songs based on their arguments. Assembling their own band, their relationship improves.
Band Aid is an underrated film. I am so glad that I found this film because it has several important messages. Containing a unique premise, this movie is a splendid example of couples having trouble in their relationships. You can make it work using a touch of creativity.
One will question why Anna and Ben are together in the first place because all they do is argue. It’s apparent that they’ve undergone hardships in their relationship making it hard to communicate feelings. Instead of giving up, they choose to work out their issues. So, with their mutual love for music creating songs helps mend a healthier bond.
Zoe Lister-Jones and Adam Polly did an excellent job of establishing a real relationship. How much of their conversations was improv? They studied every nuance of this complicated relationship down to how they looked at each other. In one pivotal argument, Lister-Jones and Polly unleashed all their emotions in a stinging argument.
Anna and Ben were annoying to be around with the fights or their selfish tendencies, but the film studied their characters, demonstrating their personalities. While Ben experiences a lack of interest in his job, Anna grieves a loss. Afraid of failure, Anna feels disconnected from the world. They both made their characters compelling and vulnerable.
Fred Armisen has a goofy performance as the awkward neighbor. He provides excellent comic relief (briefly) joining the band as the drummer. A few other characters appear as friends to the main characters. One of the strengths of Band Aid is its attention to its characters.
The concept is the most creative part of Band Aid. Not only did she act in the film, Zoe Lister-Jones directed, wrote, and produced the film. Driving for authenticity, she explores themes like grief, loss, and change. Her writing and directing are impressive.
Lister-Jones distributed how beneficial it is for couples to work things out as well as the importance of music. The music was my favorite part of this movie. Coming up with catchy tunes, the melodies made me laugh or smile. A lot of creative (and dirty) songs were thought up.
Anna and Ben find that their music helps them communicate and express their emotions to each other. They’d make top 10 lists on what subjects really make them argue. I also really liked the guitars used in the film.
This movie has several great examples, but the film’s main highlight achieves songwriting. Music is important which is why sound has a pivotal role. Filmmakers did a good job with sound mixing. The whole mood changes when the music plays.
The film's visual style is also worth mentioning. The use of handheld cameras gives the movie a documentary-style feel, which adds to its realism. The cinematography is well done, with shots that effectively capture the emotions of the characters.
The film's message is simple but profound: sometimes the only way to heal a relationship is to confront your problems head-on and find a way to communicate with each other. Band Aid is a charming and relatable movie that will resonate with anyone who's ever been in a difficult relationship.
Band Aid is a must-watch for any music lovers alike. It’s a helpful therapy movie for couples. I highly recommend that you find it and watch it.
