Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 - A Movie Review
'Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3' is EPIC.

The Guardians of the Galaxy will save the day.
Blasting into theaters in 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 continues the sci-fi fantasy with the guardians facing their most dangerous challenge yet. As the Guardians unleash Peter Quill’s lineage, they find themselves in a cosmic conflict threatening the entire galaxy.
I never thought Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 would pull at my heartstrings. The conclusion of the trilogy is epic! Taking audiences on an exhilarating adventure, the third installment does not disappoint. Never stop fighting for what you love.
All of your favorite misfit characters return. Performances by Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and the voice talents of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper were compelling. Aside from diving into dramatic roots, their comedic timing is unforgettable.
One of the strengths of the Guardians films has always been the characters. The chemistry among the ensemble cast is my favorite aspect of the franchise, showcasing the growth and evolution of their bond. I cannot get enough of their witty banter, especially from Drax.
In this installment, the film delves deeper into individual backstories, like Rocket. Rocket’s story is the utmost important segment of the film. I swear my heart was about to burst in learning about his past as a victim of animal testing. (And how adorable he was as a baby raccoon.)
My favorite moments were Rocket’s interactions with Lylla, Reefs, and Floor, the other animals in the testing facility. Enduring traumatizing effects from the cruel testing, this story signifies the power of bravery when all hope feels lost.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is a potent commentary on animal testing and cruelty. As an animal lover, it was hard watching these segments. I am so thankful that this film sheds light on animal testing. Animal testing has floated under the radar for too long. Reminding viewers that it’s still happening, we must end animal abuse once and for all.
This added layer of depth delivered resonating emotions. Guardians of the Galaxy has always accomplished narratives that produce genuinely emotional moments that resonate with viewers. I felt myself tear up at several moments.
James Gunn directed a visually inventive film enhanced by cutting-edge CGI. Volume 3 is a feast of vibrant and imaginative otherworldly landscapes. It created a truly immersive experience. Gunn's innovative use of music blended well into the narrative, adding an extra layer of energy and excitement to the film.
While the film is a successful sequel, Volume 3 struggled with its distinct voice, overloading viewers with visuals and several fight scenes. There were too many fight scenes in the film's climax. The story is the same as the others, where the characters are on a mission to save the universe and fight evil nemeses.
Rocket’s story is the only original aspect of it. The abundance of characters and stretched-out subplots occasionally makes the story feel overcrowded, weakening the impact of certain arcs, like Peter’s. Peter has a significant storyline which is not given prominent focus until the climax.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is a satisfying conclusion. I was excited to share this experience with a few audience members as we laughed, marveled at the visuals, or sat forward in our seats. Occasionally, my friend who had seen the film before me, turned to see my reactions at pivotal scenes.
Despite being over two hours, the time went by in a blink of an eye. The film is a fun time for all moviegoers. See Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 in theaters.
