Raghav Juyal Opens Up About His Raw, Unsigned Tearful Shot

Aryan Khan's directorial debut, Ba**ds Of Bollywood*, has impressed audiences, particularly an unscripted viral scene featuring Raghav Juyal and Emraan Hashmi. Juyal revealed the scene's song choice and his emotional reaction were spontaneous. He also shared how his character, Parvaiz, was collaboratively developed on set with Aryan's on-the-spot creative approach, often extending shoots.

Aryan Khan’s debut directorial, Bads Of Bollywood* has impressed one and all. While fans are raving about several iconic scenes and moments from the series, the one that really went viral was Raghav Juyal’s scene with Emraan Hashmi.

Scene wasn’t scripted

In conversation with NDTV, Raghva said, “There is now a separate fan base for just that scene. It wasn’t written in the script. Aryan and I were very tense about what to do when Emraan sir enters. Then Aryan suddenly said, ‘You’ll sing a song.’ We started debating, Bheege Honth Tere or Kaho Na Kaho, and finally chose the latter because of its Arabic portions, which allowed me to perform more.”

Elaborating further, he added, “The first day when I gave the master shot, my whole body started shaking and tears just started rolling down. It happened organically. Everyone was shocked, even Aryan. But I think that worked because it looked genuine.”

Creating the character together

Juyal also went on to reveal, “All the other characters had well-written backstories. Mine didn’t. Parvaiz was just there, fun but undefined. After Kill, people started seeing me as a lead, so I went to Aryan. He told me, ‘Bro, I know you. I have full faith in you. This is my favourite character. We’ll create it together on set.’

And that’s exactly what happened. ‘Aryan has a habit of creating on the spot, and my habit is to deliver in different ways. So, whenever we were together, other actors would say, ‘Oh no, this shoot will now extend!’,” he concluded. The Ba**ds of Bollywood* also starred Lakshya, Anya Singh, Saher Bambba, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Bobby Deol and others.

It also boasted of some notable cameos like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Badshah, Emraan Hashmi, SS Rajamouli, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor and others.

In reflecting on how the viral moment came to be, Juyal underlined the unpredictability and collaborative spirit on set. He described how the decision to insert a song wasn’t preordained, but a reaction to tension and creative impulse when Emraan’s character entered. The fact that the cast chose between Bheege Honth Tere and Kaho Na Kaho in real time reveals how open Aryan’s direction style is to adaptation.

Juyal’s physical reaction—shaking, tearing up during the shot—was neither planned nor forced, yet it became one of the film’s most impactful and shared moments. The naturalness, he said, surprised everyone, including Aryan Khan himself, and yet it is precisely that rawness that resonated with audiences.

Expanding further, Juyal explained that while many characters in Bads of Bollywood* arrived with firm blueprint backstories, his role was different—undefined and fluid. After the attention from Kill, he approached Aryan to deepen his part. The director responded by entrusting Juyal with creative freedom: “We’ll build him together.” On set, this meant spontaneous alterations, sometimes leading to extended shoots—other cast members even joked about longer schedules whenever Juyal and Aryan were in a scene together.**

This method paid off. Juyal’s willingness to lean into uncertainty, matched with Aryan’s off-the-cuff approach, made Parvaiz a memorable, emergent character rather than merely a static side role. That dynamic synergy set the viral scene apart as something organic, not manufactured.
