When Tony Geary departed General Hospital, howeverm his character simply moved out of the country. He returned to the screen for a brief moment in 2017 when his TV wife Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) departed the ABC soap.

As of this writing, there are rumblings that Geary may finally get his wish as Tracy is supposed to return to Port Charles soon with the news that Luke has died. A photo that was shared by Nicholas Chaves who portrays Spencer Cassadine is said to have shown Tracy in the background on a boat that is assumed to be The Haunted Star. She was said to be holding what looked like an urn in her hands and the image has now been removed.
