6 Front-Runners To Win The Challenge: Vets & New Threats
The 41st season of The Challenge has been eye-opening.
I haven't written about The Challenge in while but we're back because Vets and New Threats have kept me intrigued. We have seen new stars emerge like Sydney Segal and Leonardo Dionicio. We have also seen vets like Olivia Kaiser and Michaela Bradshaw really find their footing this season as leaders of the franchise. This will be a list of 3 men and 3 women that have the best chances to win this season of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats.
Woman
#3: Sydney Segal
Original Show - Survivor: 41
Sydney has really surprised me this season. I was surprised by this casting choice as she hasn't been on TV since 2021 and didn't impress me much on Survivor. She is perfect for The Challenge though. 2 months in and she already has 2 daily wins and hasn't been thrown into an elimination yet. If a rookie woman is going to win this season it will be her. At the beginning of the season I was convinced Dee Valladares was going to have the best season but she has been okay.
2. Michaela Bradshaw
Original Show - Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X
Before Michaela even debuted on The Challenge: Spies, Lies, & Allies I knew she was going to be great on this show. She was screwed over on Spies, Lies, and Allies by losing to Corey Lay in an elimination. Her partner wasn't great. She did a fantastic job on USA 2 though getting 3rd place. She would have won that season if it wasn't for the ATV twist in the final. Michaela has 2 daily wins and is sitting in a good position. Her only enemy is Olivia Kaiser right now and I'm loving seeing a fresh rivalry.
1. Olivia Kaiser
Original Show - Love Island USA 3
Olivia has to be the favorite to win this season. She has dominated the screen time and storylines. She already has 1 elimination win and 1 daily win. She has people willing to defend her but she has people trying to throw her in too. She might have to win out like Jordan Wiseley in War of the Worlds II.
3. Leonardo Dionicio
Original Show - Love Island USA 5
I was excited for Leo to join The Challenge because we need more people from Love Island USA. I doubt we'll get anyone from Love Island USA 6 as MTV can't afford them. Leo was a good casting choice though as he was one of the faces of his season of Love Island. He has been one of the faces of the rookie side of the game and received a lot of attention from it. He has performed well in the dailies but I'm waiting to see how he does in the eliminations.
2. Chris "CT" Tamburello
Original Show - The Real World: Paris
I know CT has not looked the greatest this season but he did just win an elimination and he is CT. CT didn't look great on War of the Worlds II either and he got the win that season.
1. Turbo Camkiran
Original Show - Survivor Turkey 8
Turbo has to be the favorite to win. This it the Turbo people wanted after War of the Worlds. I don't see anyone throwing him in and everyone wants him as a partner. I can see him skating to the final like Jordan Wiseley did last season on Battle of the Era's. If Turbo gets to the final I think he wins.

The first episode of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats premiered and I have mixed emotions. I want to start off by saying I am friends with some of the cast but I made sure none of them told me anything about this season. I have absolutely no idea what happens and this is the first time in a while that this is the case. It's always interesting to see half of the cast be rookies but they've been doing it a lot recently (Spies, Lies, & Allies, War of the Worlds) are two examples.

The Rachels - 2025
Much to my surprise, I have kept a list of the films I‘ve seen this year. I daresay it isn’t complete. There will be films that snuck in on a late night in front of the TV that I would’ve forgotten to note. Or others, that I went to watch at the cinema, but then had a red wine and promptly forgotten about. But it’s not a bad approximation of the films I’ve seen this year. In total, there are 53 films listed, so an average of one a week and one for good luck.

'20/20'
"Do It Again" the track that would ultimately open the Beach Boys final album on Capitol Records which was released on February 10th 1969 had originally been released as a single in August of 1968. The track was the first of many post-Pet Sounds era throwbacks to the early Beach Boys sound which would become continually more cliched and eventually lead the Beach Boys to the level of self-parody they would eventually succumb to in the 1980s while their closest contemporaries The Beatles nearing the end of their run in 1969 would go on to be viewed as the most influential band of all time. However, the song itself is not bad on its surface, and it opens with a futuristic sounding (for 1969) drumbeat captured by then-Beach Boys engineer Stephen Desper using tape delays on the drums performed by Dennis Wilson and John Guerin. The song has been re-recorded numerous times over the years on various Beach Boys-related projects most notably the 2011 re-recording at Capitol studios featuring the five surviving Beach Boys at the time backed instrumentally by various members of both the Brian Wilson Band and Mike Loves touring "Beach Boys" to promote the then upcoming Beach Boys 50th Anniversary reunion tour in 2012. The hammering and power drill sound at the end of the song was an excerpt from a track called "Workshop" that was to be a part of the uncompleted "SMiLE" album.
