15 Facebook Pet Peeves

Facebook is now Meta, but people still call it Facebook.

We know that Facebook has changed its name to Meta. However, some of us still prefer to call it Facebook because that was the name when we first signed up for that social media account.

My Facebook Pet Peeves

A pet peeve is something that someone does that annoys you to a greater degree than it affects others. Everyone has a pet peeve, whether they admit it or not. And everyone does something that annoys others. I have some Facebook pet peeves. They are not about the site. Instead, my pet peeves are about Facebook users.

  1. A generic avatar for a profile picture is one of my Facebook pet peeves. Not having uploaded a real picture doesn't motivate me to connect with those "picture-less" people.
  2. Some people do not have their own profile picture. A baby, a flower, or a sunset might be beautiful, but I prefer connecting with you, not your baby, not your flower, and not your sports team.
  3. It is annoying to continually see pictures of food that people eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  4. People don't need to respond to my post by saying, "No comment." Not commenting means "No comment."
  5. I have had to tell some people to stop using my post to converse with others about subjects not related to my post at all. Instead, they should use their own posts.
  6. Some people respond with something so far off my subject that it makes no sense at all.
  7. People who never respond, but when I see them in person, they can tell me more about my thread than I can.
  8. I don't like people sending me applications and sites to join. If they were really my friend, they would know I am not interested in Mafia Wars or Farmville.
  9. I don't respond to chain letters with a promise that I will receive sums of money if I forward them to a number of people.
  10. People should stop requesting me to type "Amen" to useless posts.
  11. People should stop telling me I will be blessed if I share their post with a number of people. That is not the way I get my blessings.
  12. Profanity and nudity don't belong on my wall.
  13. People tag me in pictures I would rather not be tagged in.
  14. People I don't know keep sending me attachments.
  15. It annoys me when someone sends me a string of meaningless emojis.
